FOH'ers Daily Smoke

Feeling very privileged to smoke a Boli 109 today. One of my “white whale” cigars, and it has lived up to all my expectations. All the classic Boli flavours of earth, leather, and meat, but with hints of buttery, shortbread sweetness throughout. What a glorious cigar!

A HdM Le Hoyo Du Depute. Day 36 now with my ”new cigar everyday” fest. Quite interesting this one, creamy undertone but really rough around the edges. Very harsh. How many years before these mellow out? Do they ever?

Is this an H. Upmann Magnum 56 Edición Limitada 2015?

How was it?  I have two untouched sealed boxes of these in my Humi and I was wondering how they are currently smoking.

I will probably not touch mine until 2021.

Also, what kind of V cutter is that?

1. Cohiba Secretos (circa 2008 - Thanks Trevor!)

This 2008 Cohiba Secretos still packed a punch of flavour. Its intensity has rescinded with age, so it's now a nice medium-strengthed smoke. The chocolate and coffee still dominate, with some Cohiba grass/hay in its spine.

2. H. Upmann Noellas 2009 - LCDH Exclusivo Glass Jar (circa 2010 - thanks Trevor!)

This had some strength to it, despite being 8 years old. H.Upmann shortbread, black espresso coffee and white pepper. Very typical H.Upmann flavours for me.

3. Hoyo de Monterrey Pirámides 2003 - Selección Pirámides (circa 2004 - thanks again Trevor!)

Again, gifted by Trevor, this cigar was released in 2003/04 as a Habanos Seleccion Piramides 5-pack special release (along with Cohiba, Montecristo, Partagas and Romeo y Julieta piramides offerings).

How was it? From the beginning it was viscous in smoke, beautifully mild and very similar to an aged Le Hoyo cigar, with cedar, vanilla and cream all the way throughout. Although it lacked complexity in that it didn't develop any changes through the thirds, I didn't mind at all as I like my aged Hoyo de Monterrey to smoke exactly like this cigar.

ARG DIC 14 Cohiba Robustos Supremos EL 2014. Smoke about one of these a year; I really enjoy them but don’t like the 58 ring gauge.

Allowed myself a couple of treats while working today. Not sure about the box code on the Punch, said 12/13 on a sticker in the tube. Then a MES DIC11 Upmann Añejados. Definitely the best Añejados stick I've had, which isn't saying all that much though.

Had a wonderful time with the Mag 56. Very good flavors, started with under medium.. Last third was medium full for me. Strong ending I would say, maybe it's still considered young. Great construction & combustion. Looking forward to the next one in a few months time.

That's a Siglo V Cutter. Cuts deep & been happy with it.
