Generally I prefer the Punch Punch as the DC is milder and typically not as complex or bold (Punchy )This particular 2012 DC was quite a bit better than the 2014 box of DC’s I have mostly smoked from. If they were all like this one then it would be a tougher decision but based on my experiences, I prefer the Punch Punch. For a double corona my favorite currently is the RAG.

Smoking a 14 epi 2 now .....mouth feel is velvety and oily for sure as mentioned below .....flavors wane between sweet and then oppositely more earthy notes ....a current of almond one might taste a bit of salt on the tongue ......they definitely pick up in strength as you smoke them so don’t be surprised how it develops given how mild it seems to open ......a good dry box will help delineate some o. The flavors as well ....I recommend a good month at around 55-60

A beautiful mild and flavoursome cigar that didn't make it into the UK sub-forum box pass (oh yes, it'll get mentioned again), which was the reason it came out of the storage section. Too late now, the box has moved on... so I thought I'd have it this afternoon rather than put it away again. Pairs well with a licorice Nespresso coffee.

EPI 2 from 2015

I had a really bad cigar day today. Digging through my singles box I found a cigar that was bundeld with the cigar case I got for christmas, a Rocky Partel Platinum Limited Edition Habano. Yes, that’s the actual name. The wrapper was coming apart so I thought I should glue it up and try it rather than throw it away. It smelled kind of nice so and I haven’t had a NC in I don’t know how many yeara so why not. First two puffs tasted like teenage girl flower perfume with little to no smoke. And then it went out. Relight, more of the same. Times 2. After relighting it for the fourth time and having it die on me again I gave up. But now I’m ditermined to smoke a NC so I light up a cigar that was gifted to me four years ago or so. A jawbreaker VZ. Little to no smoke, tasted like nothing at all with maybe a hint of hay. Couldn’t be bothered. So I decided to go with a CC that I know I don’t like. Just because why not. A paper pale Montecristo No.4. Pretty tasteless for the first third, a pretty great second third, I really enjoyed that part, and then came what’s Montecristo is for me. Old ashtray. I don’t know what it is. But when others get cocoa and chocolate, I just get ashtray. Here’s hoping for a better tomorrow.

This is actually how far I got in to the cigar after four relights.

 

 

 

Not really sure here but it’s either Partagas Mille Fleures or Petit Coronas Especiales. I’m guessing the Mille Fleures.

Rainy day, very pleasant temperatures. Enjoying that my landlord (and fellow cigar smoker) installed a new door at the back of my garage. Perfect setting for a three cigar day.

Smoked this beast yesterday, ABO Feb 18 box from our esteemed Presidente. My first one from the box and it smoked amazingly, 2 hours of pleasure, great burn and long ash contender. Very nutty notes and stronger punch than you get from a RASS. One of my new favourites.
