Petit Cetros. Always a little rough on the palate, but a cigar of fair complexity and a nice, genuine Cuban aroma. Sure, a non-finesse, mass-produced, cheap little TC, but a very honest, non-chichi cigar - and a lot of it for the money, for sure. Not too long ago I said I wasn't overly sorry about them to become discontinued - I think I'll have to revise that. There are occasions where these perfectly fit the bill.

520 was and still is one of my favorites, still have one on occasion. Hopefully time will help the Dantes.

1998 (?) Los Statos De Luxe followed by a much, much more recent MC5. The LSdL hinted at something fantastic, especially the middle section.

Very interesting history on that Statos Deluxe. Never heard of it so I had to investigate. I guess they were all handmade until 1980, where they turned to machines to make all their cigars, not just the smaller vitolas. Probably why they got discontinued

Non Cuban today, Padron 1964 pyramid maduro.  I have been very disappointed in my last couple Padrons, but this one is fantastic. Creamy coffee, rich sweet cocoa, brown sugar.

Mediocre first half, quiet nice second half but wasn’t really worth the wait.
