I've been bad at posting in the Daily recently, here are a few smokes since returning from fieldwork:

17 San Juan, first time I've smoked this and I was fairly impressed. Not as creamy as Epi #2 or Epi Esp. but a lot of very pleasant baking notes (bread, e t c).

Unknown custom, from the flavors I am pretty sure it is a JO EL CoRo.

2004 SLR DC. First half or so was lackluster, second half very good. Maybe it would have smoked great throughout a few years back.

2004 RASS (with that double Habana on the band). The dark/stone fruit is there but not as prominent as in one at its peak (5-6 yrs? although to be fair I ran through a cabinet from mid 2015 recently that was almost perfect..). Starting to really believe that CCs have become more approachable young in recent years.

First Talisman for me - from an early batch. Very fruity, floral, and fragrant woody flavors/essence - quite light on the palate. Very unique s’mores character, as well, with an interesting toastiness. Big white chocolate opening with each puff. Also, can’t say I’ve ever tasted lychee in anything...other than lychee fruit...but here it is. Not at all what I expected and a very pleasant surprise! The flavors are not nearly as dark as I anticipated, and despite the cost I’m actually quite intrigued. I know Ken (the other Kenny G) has been raving about these, and now I can see why. Curious how these will be in 5 or 10 years.
