Popular Post Islandboy Posted July 22, 2018 Popular Post Posted July 22, 2018 Thoroughly enjoying a monster margarita and an HU2 after a full day of chores. An emergency morning task of unpleasantries forced me to take a high noon, "what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” approach to the overdue yard work. Cheers to all! Saturday evening part deux. RASS and a splash of Diplomaticos. 14

Popular Post BellevilleMXZ Posted July 22, 2018 Popular Post Posted July 22, 2018 Good cigar today, but very sad still the same. Romeo y Julieta Cazadores 24:24 On the 8th the FIL suffered a bad heart attack, and never came back from it, he passed on the 16th. He was an active and in good shape 77yrs, and this was not expected. He was a great guy, and over the last year, we had smoked a couple of CC together. He was new to them, so it was fun, showing him the ropes so to speak. And his only granddaughters wedding, was just this past sat. There was talk of trying to change the date, but in the end, it was left as is, and his daughter, read his notes he had made up for the day. So today is the first quiet day, to enjoy a cigar, and reminisce a bit, has been a tough 2 weeks. This one is for you Wayne, RIP. 16 4

Popular Post OllyBond Posted July 23, 2018 Popular Post Posted July 23, 2018 Had a monte edmundo earlier box code AMO ABR 16. Construction was great, flavor wasn't there. It's been a really up and down box so far. Smoking this bolivar pc now box cod ETP DEC 16, and it is great. Bolivar just seams to be so consistent in the flavor and Construction department. I'm still very new to this, but so far bolivar is my favorite by a mile. 4 hours ago, filltang said: SLR Regio ROTT because patience is not one of my virtues Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Never had one. If you like la croix, try dasani sparkling water. It is incredible. 6 hours ago, BellevilleMXZ said: Good cigar today, but very sad still the same. Definitely needs time to acclimatize, but it surely is a tasty smoke. I love anything carbonated. Used to drink way too much pop, so I've cut that back by drinking Pellegrino/La Croix/etc. I usually get the La Croix in bulk at Costco - if I see Dasani Sparkling I'm gonna give it a shot. 1

Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted July 23, 2018 Popular Post Posted July 23, 2018 In the garage, smoking a Siglo VI to celebrate my 24 hour shift being over, after only 24 hours...which is pretty rare. . I originally bought a few Cohiba Talisman singles, because I wanted to try them before committing to buying boxes. I’m not really crazy about most EL’s, but I ended up liking the Talismans enough to get a couple of boxes. They had the signature dark and marbled looking EL wrappers, but the flavor deviated enough for me to take a chance, and I genuinely liked (but not loved) the flavors I got from them. Forward to today, when I opened one of the boxes I bought, the wrappers on the cigars inside looked much more Cohiba’ish than the singles I bought. As you can see below, the wrapper looks a lot like a wrapper from a particularly dark box of Cohibas, not that very dark, marbled, almost maduro looking EL wrapper that I am used to getting. And the flavors I am getting out of this cigar, while young, are simply phenomenal. It doesn’t taste like the generic tasting EL’s that I am used to. It tastes like a Cohiba on steroids. I’m not sure if If there are a lot of boxes like this, or if I just got really lucky with a special box, but I think I am going to bury the rest of this box deep in the humidor, where I wont be tempted to touch them for a while. 18
