Enjoyed a few very generous gifts from @Hotboxx today inbetween a few lovely outings with Caity. Not least of which the pictured TOS FEB 16 principe. UBM DIC 17 RyJ petit royal was a big surprise. I hate RyJ as a rule, but this was really good. Like a stronger principe. Really surprisingly good.

Got out early today and would love to be golfing right now, but there is a torrential rainstorm out there.  Instead I’m sitting in my garage smoking a MPC SEP 04, RyJ Belicoso.

1.  Cohiba Siglo I  OBM Nov 2015

Again, outstanding for its age! Cohiba grass/hay, honey and citrus with vanilla and a developing smooth creamy texture. Just as glorious as the last one from this box!

2. H.Upmann No.2 LUB May 2014

An exemplary smoke! Milk Coffee, shortbread, cedar and nuts in the first half. A little honey sweetness was evident at times too. The second half picked up strength with some hints of white pepper. Again, these are developing nicely.

3. Montecristo No.4 AEM May 2014

Mild nut, coffee, cocoa and elements of cream in the first half. The second half was more toasted tobacco. cocoa and coffee.

4. Romeo y Julieta Churchills OBM May 2017

Again, another lovely Romeo y Julieta Churchill. I think I've had 6 or 7 really solid to great Churchills in the last 3 or so months, across a range of box codes from 2016 and 17. This had a touch more cherry than my last one, with the core Turkish delight. rosewater and anise flavour there throughout.

I just finished a 14 hour day and back at the hotel enjoying a Party Short until I had a close encounter with a skunk. Lucky not to close but I have moved to a different spot and gotta say my heart is beating a little quicker right now.

Cohiba Talisman (PSP) finally smoked it after laying it down for 2 months.

 

It was medium body throughout.

Very stable on the taste buds during the whole cigar experience.

The aroma was elegant.

Taste: delightful. The main taste that comes to me is cream. (Sorry, I’m trying to become more and more perceptive)

I think these will be pretty creamy after some time put away which hopefully these will be if I’m able to hold myself.

Couple from the last few days...

Traveled back to Colorado for some family time and had a few moments for a CoSho on a hot Fort Collins morning. After a surprisingly pleasant layover in Utah, arrived home to Seattle today and lit up a beautiful 2011 Superiores (top 3 of the year, thus far). Ahhhh.....

PUM FEB 13 RyJ Coronitas en Cedros. These little bastards *finally* turned the corner. Amazing interplay of flavors - coffee, dried aromatic flowers, some rosewater, some chocolate, faint dried fruit.

I predict a very short life for the rest of the box!

First time smoking a Trinidad Reyes (RAG Mar 2018). 24:24 buy and could resist smoking one before letting them settle in after their long journey. Quick but relaxing smoke. Really impressive little guy that will only get better if I have the patience for them to acclimate.

Had pre-cut a Monte 2 for Sunday night but ended up smoking the Dip Cuba as I started out later than expected.Had thought of smoking the Monte earlier today however saw a thread mentioning these and reminded me I've not had one in over a year (I think it was you CB!)
This one started way more spicier than I remember the last but settled and smoothed out into the first third.
I don't smoke enough RA!
