Popular Post cfc1016 Posted July 5, 2018 Popular Post Posted July 5, 2018 Heard a rhythmically repeating thud while driving (for work) earlier. Sure enough there was a screw stickin out of my tire. “Great. Hopefully it’ll stay put til tomorrow when i can get it plugged” I thought. No such luck. Screw got thrown. Tire got flat. Drove the rest of my work shift on a donut. Fun. Parts stores and service shops were all closed. Of course it happens on a holiday... Had to drive to the boonies to walmart after work for a plug kit. Got back to my parents’ (where i have access to a compressor) just in time to plug my tire to the sound of deafening screaming fireworks. Murica. ~12 hours after this s$&;storm of a day began, I’m finally home, clean, and enjoying a 1995 Punch Corona, courtesy of the ever benevolent @jerrybrowne . All is right in the world once again. 1995 was the year (and right around this time of year, now that i think about it) I smoked my first cigar at the ripe delinquent age of 11. This cigar, as well as some relaxed introspection, lead to one simple summary of my feelings today. Oh, how things have changed... 13

Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted July 5, 2018 Popular Post Posted July 5, 2018 There has been a thick fog out at the beach for the last few mornings. It gets burned off by the sun around 10 o’clock. I smoked a Siglo VI while out for a morning stroll. 12

Popular Post JohnS Posted July 5, 2018 Popular Post Posted July 5, 2018 Montecristo Especiales No.2 LAU May 2016 Very typical Montecristo flavours of Cocoa, Coffee and Nut is evident, but what makes the Especial No.2 stand out is the cedar and vanilla finish. This was so wonderfully smooth for only a two year-old cigar, I can only see it get better in the long-term with (hopefully) the expectation of a creamy texture and mild baking spice finish. Cohiba Robustos PTR Ago 2015 The last Cohiba Robusto I had was okay, this was superlative in comparison! It was the mild mocha coffee flavours combined with the Cohiba grass/hay, honey and vanilla that I especially loved about this Robusto. The construction was spot on too, no burn corrections, viscous quantities of smoke per draw and the ash was lengthy and consistent. I wish every Cohiba Robustos was like this one! Rafael González Perlas 2012 (Thanks Steve!) These came out in 2012 and was gifted to me recently by Steve. Notice the 2010 older-style band? Cuba being Cuba...nothing is wasted, as the current Rafael Gonzalez banding came out in 2012. Anyway, this came from a 5-pack and I promise you I thought it would be plugged as it was a hard as a dowel, but no, it smoked beautifully! Cocoa, floral and honey combined with some aged baking spice, this was the third fantastic cigar I had this week. Thanks Steve! 13
Popular Post LLC Posted July 5, 2018 Popular Post Posted July 5, 2018 UPE JUN 12 Cohiba Pyramided Extra 2012 LE. Had a rough day and needed some time to myself to unwind. Haven’t had one of these in a few years but what a smooth refined cigar. Enjoying it with an Americano but may go look for some of the good stuff for the second half.
