Lotusguy Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 In the afternoon a 1996 Fonseca Cosacos that was anything but light - who put those Partagas in that box??? Beginner quickie Meatscape in the evening with a nice T-Bone and a Upmann Robusto from the Travel Humidor. Both very tasty!! PS: I know the steak was a little overdone - that's what happens when you do chores while grilling.
Dimmers Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Smoked my second ever Cohiba 1966 on the weekend. Somewhat wary of what I would get due to (i) very fond memories of my first perhaps being clouded by the immense amount of alcohol that had been had before, during and after it, and also (ii) pretty high expectations from reading many other reviews of it and not wanting to be disappointed. Well the construction was perrrrrfect, awesome wrapper with plenty of oils. But what got me was the aroma at cold- it was all chocolate and honey. I must have looked quite strange on the balcony sitting their sniffing a cigar unlit for over 5 mins as my fiancee wandered out and asked what the hell I was up to. Anyways almost 2 hrs later and was just fantastic. The sweet choc and honey notes, were there through and through together with grassy notes. The smoke was so creamy! Only when getting well into the final third, it got a little hot and strong but I stayed with it. Overall very very impressed..... If only I could find something similar to smoke on a regular basis that won't kill my bank account...
rckymtn22 Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 A very nice HU Petit Corona. Draw was a bit tight and a great burn until the last 3rd before it started to go wonky!
Zaphod42 Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 OPM SEP 09 Been trying to lay off these for a while, but finally decided to dip into the box. Very enjoyable.
LGC Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 1998 ERDM lunch club. A great medium/light bodied cigar, with full flavor.
Rushman Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Been on a Trinidad binge of late. Today an 07 or 08 Coloniales
jacktarnold Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Fantastic VR Famosos this evening after getting the last of the debris out after the demolition of my back room
nikesupremedunk Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 tasted great but it was one of the hardest to smoke. the draw was very tight and felt like it was going to die on me many times making it kind of a disappointing experience. (for those that are wondering it's a Boli Gold Medal but I just took the bands off the foil and slid it on the cigar since it looks kind of naked w/o any bands)
Puros Y Vino Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Tonight. A 2003 Hoyo De Dieux. and a 2005 Punch RS11
