prodigy
A little hard to find in NC, When I run across it, I try to pick up a couple. I found mine in VA. Was going to a wedding in Blacksburg and called every store that was near my route. Snagged 2 bottles of knob Creek cask strength rye on my way back from the same store. prodigy
We are in Raleigh. I've found decent daily drinkers here that are available everywhere. Nothing special or hard to find. I guess you have to bribe an abc employee to find rare stuff. They have no online system, so the only way to get something really good is to show up at the right time at the right place. My collecting is a little out of hand at the moment. Scored 3 bottles of George T Stagg last month... I was able to score a bottle of GT Stagg, Rip Van Winkle, and several bottle of 12yr Weller. Good luck on your quest for fine Bourbons

Popular Post Danimalia
Fonseca No. 1. So I bought 3 singles. Pulled one out, unwrapped it, and was greeted with this: I, uh, guess that's why they're wrapped in tissue. Looks like the skin of an un-rinsed potato. Gray. The first one had a nice reddish tint to the wrapper. I figured what the hell, though, and fired it up. So far, I'm only about a cm in, but it tastes a lot better than it looks.

I've been working through a stash of the Viejos (robustos) and Concepciones (CGs), but last night I had my first Junipero from a 5 pack, which is the same size as a Trinidad Fundador. I've kind of been buying different 5ers for mixed boxes. They're all sensational.

Popular Post jtfrizzy
Jay and I are comparing our '16 Partagas Maduros. Ours are one month off from one another and I think the same factory code but I'd need to check to be sure. Pretty good flavor. Very different then the Trinidad Ingeniosast night. The flavors on this party Maduro are way sharper and distinct vs refined and blended brilliance of the Ingenios flavors. An extra 9-10 years of age explains that easily, but beyond that both this and the Ingenios are very pleasant Maduro rarities in the habanos line it seems. Pairing this with of course a Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale as it's my favorite Maduro drink, but also a little Yamazaki 12 on the side. jtfrizzy
Thats got my vote for nub of the year!!! Why thank you! Yeah I smoked that sucker right down till my finger tips damn near blistered a bit lol. Maybe a tad too long but it's not to often you get to enjoy a smoke like that. I just didn't want it to end.Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Popular Post nsills
Nightcap with Trinidad Colionales I picked up at LCDH Mexico City and Hibiki Harmony. Don't recall the date/box code but it's quite good. Fuller experience than a Reyes, the first CC that hooked me.
Popular Post JohnS
1. Cohiba Robustos ROA Abr 2007 (from the Aged Sampler) Cohiba grass/hay, honey, mocha and spice. It was a strong smoke not helped by the conditions, wet weather and high humidity. 2. Montecristo Petit Edmundo POS May 2007 (from the Aged Sampler) This was much better. I do like my Monte Petit Edmundo with a bit of age on them. Cocoa, nut, baking spice with a creamy texture to it. If only it lasted more than hour! 3. Partagas Serie D No.4 PGT May 2007 (from the Aged Sampler) Again, this is another vitola I like more aged than youthful. Some nice coffee, sourdough, leather and baking spice! 4. Por Larranaga Montecarlos TOS May 2017 Smoked very slowly due to its ring gauge, this had some caramel, honey and nut along with some youthful toasted tobacco. 5. Cohiba Siglo VI PLM Ago 2007 (from the Aged Sampler) Have you seen much Siglo VI around lately? No? How fortunate were we to get this aged offering in our Aged Sampler packs this year (for those who picked them up)? This was more complex than the other aged cigars I sampled. Typical Cohiba flavours of grass/hay, mocha, butter and honey with some spice interspersed with vanilla.
