These have a bad reputation due to many boxes suffering from fireproof wrappers, but if you get one of the good ones like mine, these are a treat. Fuller bodied than regular HDM, even after over 10 years.

Finished off what was a very good ETP AGO 15 cab of RASS and this was the first one from a ETP OCT 15 cab of RASS that I just opened. Very good first cigar, let’s hope the other 49 are the same or better.

H.Upmann No.2 (2014) - wood, cocoa, coffee and a thick burnt sugar taste to this smoke. A beautiful long finish. This smoke is moreish, and a regular favourite of mine.

Had a harder time picking a drink than I did a smoke tonight. TOS FEB 17 PLPC should do the trick. Wanted to see what they are like at just over a year. Caved and cracked the Elijah Craig 12 year.

2001 Cohiba Lancero. Surprisingly flavorful despite the bland and ugly wrapper. 

The only flavors coming through on a strong retro is milk and cedar notes. I can only imagine a oily wrapper on this would make it a lot better. Oh well! Still awesome ?

If you have the opportunity to pick up a couple do it. Like most RE not true to marca but it was still tasty. So no fruit however I did pick up woody and nutty flavors.  I've smoked a few out of the box and this one was definitely the best so far. I just hope it wasn't a one off rather the true progression of ageing. Not mind blowing but this example made me wish I had more than one box.  BTW I love the size and the old school label.
