I had one myself yesterday. How did you find it? Perhaps, it's the most uniquely-blended Habanos cigar currently in production, in my opinion. It's hard to compare it to anything else.

san cristobal mercaderes (2007) - this smoke was magical, and it was like smoking a stick of rum; full of spices, molasses, and citrus notes. It had a beautiful lingering finish to each puff, the rich flavours coating my mouth. God I wish I had a box of these, sadly only 4 more left, and they’ll be gone within the year. My top smoke of the year so far, and boy is it going to take some beating!

Salty, woodsy, a little creamy.  I enjoyed it, they aren't flashy. Alas, I have only had a few singles and not a box of them to really get a good idea of them and how they age.  They don't seem to come up on 24:24 much but it's in the pipeline of boxes to buy (along with about a dozen others).

2006 Cohiba Siglo V (thanks to @ATGroom). It's been so long since I've had a Siglo V! I love the vitola (43 ring gauge x 170 mm), a dalias, one of the few long and skinnies left around. Thank you Alex for gifting this to me. All Cohiba grass/hay, citrus and honey with gorgeous cream texture all over. A brilliant and most pleasurable smoking experience!

Had a MUS SEP 13 Siglo IV last night after a great steak dinner. Flavors were great but the wrapper was causing issues. Starting to dry out from being in Vegas. Put my tin of HUHC in a ziplock overnight with a Boveda and this one is burning and feels much better.

 

Last cigar before heading to the airport to head back home.

Sorry to hear - storage perhaps...(?) My '01 stash is smoking better than ever. A 2006 box, on the other hand, found a few years back, appears to be over the hill (still nice smokes though). But the Y2K tobacco - 1999-01, the ones I smoked from the 'dreaded' period - seems to have legs.
