Solid cigar. I really enjoy the size. Slightly tight roll. True punch flavors especially sweet wood and some florals. Chocolate and peanuts were evident as well. A good release. 86 I can't justify it for 2x the price of punch punch though.

Smoked my second H Upmann ages Robusto tonight. The flavour notes were very different from the first one I had, lacking the brown sugar/molasses quality that made it such a pleasure. This one was very woody, full bodied, and had leather in the last third. I have a box of these, so I will be interested to see how they smile and develop...

Revisited this stick, today's experience was actually not bad at all, not box worthy for me but enjoyed this example compared to ones in the past

I only break this smoke out a few times a year. Today is the BD so out it comes.  I have always rated this at 98 and it's the VERY BEST I'VE SMOKED. Today is no exception, gobs of smoke I let linger on the tongue, perfect cream and flavors overwhelm my palate with pure joy.  The PERFECT Cuban cigar that the Nic's and Dom's all try to duplicate...They can't.

The cigar is nice but for that price I rather stick to my DC’s from Rob!
Smoking through a cab of SLR DC right now and still have a few more 50 cabs of different DC’s in the OLH, no need to spend money on the fancy sticks.

San Cristóbal Torreon Habanos Specialist Exclusive Release AME Abr 2013. This was the first of the Habanos Specialist Releases, available in a Jar in 2012/13. These releases have proved to be quite good (H.Upmann Connossieur A and Punch Punch 48). How was it? In comparison to the San Cristobal de La Habana El Principe, which I've had many of over the years, this cigar at just under 5 years had the familiar San Cristobal cocoa and coffee, whereas the sweet molasses and spice was toned down, as you'd expect with age. Still, it was a superlative experience, it's just a pity that the first Habanos Specialist release was so expensive!

Keeping in mind that I have a palate of a goat, I thought it was very good. It is not great by any means yet but it is a very young cigar. I expect it to be fantastic after several years.  I will likely only buy two boxes. One to smoke every couple of years and want to put down to see how they are after 10 years.

The aroma at cold was fantastic, the construction was impeccable, excellent draw, and overall a very well made and beautiful cigar.
