Picked 2 absolute winners last night. An Epi 2 that was so good I forgot to take a pic, and this Picadores that was even better.

Decided to light up a Ramon allones Gigantes before the game. Plugged. Gutted it with the perfecdraw and actual had some airflow. It was smokeable, but still very tight. As it burned, the draw improved. Flavors were very good, just so darn tight. I couldn't bring myself to put it out.

About 3/4 into it I noticed a really hard stem where I cut the cap. Grab some pliers and went to wiggling on it. Bam! Draw is perfect, flavors became even better. Hard to believe a stem like that would go into the cigar!

A gifted stick from another member for my birthday. Good stick but would benefit from a year of rest to remove residual harshness. Excellent construction, unlike other Wide Churchills I've had.

Remember to always freeze them. 

A really good cigar, medium to full, no harsh edges reminding me of a mix between Mag48 and CORO.

Still in Myanmar, today in Loikaw. I went to a village an hour drive away to visit a small Kayan community, quite an eyeopener to see how they live their simple life just an hour away from town, airport and fairly modern infrastructure!

Sitting in the garden, making cotton yarn.


Thanks to my guide I was able to have a little chat with this lady and she showed me her small house.


Two rooms, that’s it! A sleeping room without bed or mattress and the kitchen. Cattle and pigs lived directly below!


Back in town I bought some Cheerot ‘cigars’. Maybe 10mmx120mm. Nice size I thought to myself, maybe 30mins smoking time. They’re the cheapest smokes I’ve ever bought anywhere in the world, quite the contrary to the expensive Habanos in Yangon last night! 3 smokes for $0,08! ?


Off we go, cold draw of strong green tea, little herbal, no wood or tobacco flavour.


Almost no flavour whatsoever when smoking them, very light, slightly herbal and a little burned paper taste.
What the heck I think to myself, for that price I can cut one open and check out the leaf.
?


Just one outer leaf with wood chips inside! Now I’m surprised that they where so light, no burning in he throat!
Will investigate further, in two days I’ll see a place near Inle where they produce them and I want to find out what the wood chips are!

Now relaxing g with a Punch DC!

1st Upmann Magnum 50 I've ever had. Such a good smoke. No complaints from me at all. Will continue to let them rest but I was dying to try.

H.Upmann Connossieur A LUB Oct 2014. In my opinion, this cigar is the closest thing in the Upmann range that gives you an aged Upmann smoking experience for a cigar under 5 years old, apart from maybe the Sir Winston. H.Upmann espresso coffee and toasted shortbread, with white pepper through the nose and some spice on the edges at times. It's no wonder why this cigar is so popular amongst enthusiasts.

Mag 50 are great dependable smokes, that make cigars that are double the cost look a bit stupid. Congrats dude they look lovely

Just stocked back up on these. It's great that the the Connie A has developed such a trustworthy foothold as a opulent cigar. It's so nice that you can recommend them to friend, and you know they'll be 'on'.  time after time.
