Beauty and the beast. It looked good but was a complete disgrace to be labeled a Cohiba. Construction and burn issues from the jump. Thick wrapper. This is why I consider Cohiba the biggest disappointment. I’ve had more disappointing Cohibas than any other marca. When paying a premium you expect more.

HDM Petit Robusto (ETU SEP 16). First tried these in Havana last November when our group split a box to smoke while we were there and quite enjoyed them. Not a size I’d reach for except in the winter or if time was short. Great with my Americano. This is the first one from a SLB that recently arrive. A bit more rest will help but looking forward to how they smoke and to see if I should put them into my rotation for smaller winter cigars.

Arrived in Yangon, Myanmar last night. Hectic but captivating place!

Today straight into Pagodas, Buddha visits and tour around town.







Busy markets, lots of little alleys full of shops and stalls. Great food!





Just enjoyed a Partagas DC in the hotel garden. Lucky me, I brought enough sticks, prices here are through the roof!







Tomorrow I’m off to the country side, Loikaw. Visit to a Cheerot factory is on the list too!

I tried my first Cohiba Secretos this morning with a cup of coffee. It started out ok, but in the second half it turned grassy and dry. I can’t stand the profile, but I keep trying. So far, aside from aged Esplendidos I haven’t been able to find any I like. No luck thus far with several Siglos, CoRos and a couple of others. I have one aged Lanceros and one aged CCE I want to try next, maybe one of those will meet with approval from my taste buds.

It is miles.   2007 Honda Accord.  Annual oil changes and drive it like I stole it.   Still with the original clutch yet, despite my old shop's best efforts....  I do all my own work on it now with the exception of A/C should it be required.

HdM Epicure Especial (2016) - from a cab that has a glistening sheen, however this one was packed to pluggery.

Employed the perfect D to clear some breathing room:

(looks like i've broken up a flake...)

Then smoked the little darling - heaps of cream and woody spice. I need to try and lay my paws off the rest of these and revisit in 6 months, as I can tell that for all they're great now, they should develop into something special!

I smoked one of these last night. It was creamy as you noted, with a mild/medium body. I liked it, it's a good change up from what I normally smoke, but it's not one of my favorites.  I can certainly see why some people like them though, it is a good mannered somewhat complex cigar.
