Popular Post TheLiquidGator
Cool, dreary rainy day. Fortunately, I have the exact cure. A well aged cigar and a nice pour of Barbancourt. Go so well together. The rainy day blues have been vaporized!

Guest Nekhyludov
Enjoyed a mini-Mag vertical comparison this afternoon. The Mag50 is the last of a disappointingly pedestrian OBM SEP 16 box. Each one was perfectly consistent, but had a grating, sharp, one-dimensional floral graphite taste. Frankly, I'm glad to be rid of the box. The Mag46, however, sings. The floral note is rounded, and balanced with leather, salt, and twang, and a rich aroma. If I weren't busy hoarding churchills and DCs, I'd be hunting a box of the 46. Carmel, Carmel, and carmel It was sweet, I don't have much experience with the PLPC--- actually just got my first cab of them about a week ago. Definitely a cigar to take your time with.

Popular Post thedame007
Partagas D4 tonight. At the risk of sounded gauche, this is the one Marca that just does not tickle my tastes - the wood, Earth, and white pepper just do not seem to hit the receptors! I cannot fault the construction as it was pristine, but the flavours did nothing for me at all - all the wood and pepper makes for a dry smoke, and I found myself craving a splash of cream, a zing of zest, or a jolt of chocolate. Alas, it was not to be! Though I do like to smoke a Partagas every now and again to see if my tastes have changed, at the moment they have not!
Popular Post cmbarton
Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2ELU JUL 14Tasty little chocolate chip cookie! Seconds later she used her paw to knock it out of my hand. Geez, jealous? 12

Popular Post JohnS
MEL Oct 2015 H.Upmann Magnum 56 Limited Edition. I enjoyed one with Luca prior to doing a video review for the H.Upmann Sir Winston from the 2017 Xmas Sampler. It was a hot day, and humid, so this took 2 hours to smoke due to re-lighting. The Upmann toasted bread (or shortbread) is there, but this smoked like it was refined and aged. Like Limited Editions in general, this had notes of chocolate with licorice, nut and white pepper through the nose when retrohaling.

Popular Post HarveyBoulevard
Still a little too moist for my taste. Excellent construction and excellent burn. Plentiful viscous smoke. Good flavors but I think they will come out more when it dries out a bit. Not the prettiest box of cigars. I actually expect more from the LE program. There are a couple of fat boys and a couple of skinny fellows in this box. At $23 a stick it's not that bad but I hope the Talisman don't show the same at their price point.

Popular Post Akela3rd
Experimenting with a V cutter (cheapo Firebird). Very good results from this May 14 Monte 4, but not sure if it's just novelty value. I'll try a few other sizes and marcas over the next few days. Then I'll have to get a decent one... 15

All the years of my life I’ve never smoked a cigar in pajama pants ... and then when I saw this, I immediately felt like I’m missing out. 2
