The ashtray is a metal art piece by my pal Dennis.  With my work at an engine machine shop I get lots of discard metal and drop it off with him for projects.  Valves, valve springs, valve retainers...  camshafts, crankshafts and the like.   Pretty much anything engine related, and some additional cast-offs.   He took the sun gear from a transmission I rebuilt last summer and welded it to the top of a 5.0l Ford crankshaft which he secured inside an old Baer Brakes brake rotor the shop owner had replaced on his truck last summer.  Welded some angle for holders and presented it to me this Christmas.  I thought it very cool....  My wife was not as enthused. 

I made one mod by cutting the tray off the top and turning the inside of the gear on the lathe to fit over the crank snout so I could actually empty the ashes without racking up any additional hernias or ruptured discs, and I'm thinking it's now almost perfect.  As soon as I get a few old connecting rods that fit I'll add drink holders below.

Ohh yeah man I spelled that wrong or a typo or something. Blanton's not Blaynton's nice catch on that. Yeah that stuff is so good. It's been kind of hard to find around me recently. I went to 3 different state run liquor stores (PA is a pain in the ass all liquor stores in PA are state owned and operated) until I finally found the last bottle they had in stock.

Picked up a few BUP SEP 17 10 count Lusi boxes in Havana recently. Decided today would be a good time to try one before forgetting about them for a while. Great burn and construction with nice flavors. Think I'll enjoy these.

Grab a box, the Hoyo DC is one of my favorites for regular production. Very creamy, lighter profile. In my opinion better than the Punch DCs.
