An RE Friday with @Nate Chu C&C for a Saturday morning with this Sir Winston from 03. Today is going to be great if this cigar is anything to judge it by. What a super smooth star

First cigar of the year.

C&C ‘14 especiales. Fantastic start to the day C&C with a Monte 4 C&C time today with a Perla picked up from 24:24

... is what I call the 'casino' smell! I don't know about others, but I get it!!! Cheers! -R

Exactly! This is a perfect description of the smell! I suppose this is another one of those strange ones like "Old Lady's Handbag" Ken uses!

The first of my boxes from 2000 finally arrived yesterday (thank god). Although it looks as if the supplier has done something pretty naughty in hodgpotching two boxes together, 15 of them being a nice sandy rosado, and 10 being claro (even bands very slightly different shades) I'm would complain, but sending them back to where they came from, would be the equivalent of dropping them into a black hole.

Anyway smoked one of the rosado ones today and they were truely magical.  cream, pencil shavings and quite uniquely a strong marzipan that almost bordered on blue marker pen, ketone chemical flavor. Which whilst sounding terrible, was delicious. I'll get a review in shortly

It just makes you feel like crying that one can't pull out this Lonsdale out of their humidor anymore! :(  What a thing of beauty, even if the colour grading has 'gone to pot'. :lmao:

Yep, stocking up what I can.  Sadly I think Habanos has nothing to do with the colour split on this box (I can't believe in this day and age a dealer thinks it's ok to combine boxes to suit them, or consolidate singles boxes? crazy!).  I'm wondering what fun and games is going to have gone on with the second box thats yet to appear.  Maybe a can reshuffle them back into their original boxes Ha!

I suspect, Akela wouldn't raise a monument for THAT Boris
I have deleted my original response to the picture of THAT Boris, though you no doubt saw it...

Smoked this VR Unico last night that I picked up from another vendor before coming across FOH. The first and second thirds were smooth. No noticeable notes, just smooth. The last third was instant spice. I didn’t finish it. It had to be touched up several times due to very inconsistent burning. Overall I was not impressed. I have another one of these that I’ll let sleep for awhile before trying.
