isa Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Started sunday morning with a party short - pretty nice .
cckandb24 Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Had an "11 BBF. Great construction but flavors quite muted. Going to try one today with a few years on it to compare. My first experiences with the BBF. We will see
Kosh Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Relaxing on the balcony with a Bolivar RC -11. A bit youngish, but good. Not as good as the BBF IMHO. An ESB and a splash of ***** to go with it. Great stress reliever.
winelover Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 a decent Monte #2 As these have been getting a bad press of late, just wondered what box code you had? Thanks
maverickdrinker Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 06 Santos Custom Roll Robusto. Review posted.
headstand Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 As these have been getting a bad press of late, just wondered what box code you had? Thanks March '10 box from Czars - so PE grade. I have had a few really nice ones, many ok, a couple of crappy ones out of 20 cigars smoked so far. Hope that helps.
dmbfan61 Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Cool evening on the balcony with a RASS and a glass of Zacapa 23
headstand Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Saturday morning: Bolivar Royal Corona POL MAY 10 - HQ - these are winning me over now that they have a a few more months on them. Starting to get typical Bolivar flavors but more balanced and knitted together. Checked the Czars description and what it said is what I smoked. And the smoke! Great volumes of the stuff. Perfect draw. Good burn despite being ignored for minutes at a time. I'm going with a solid 91 on that stick. And I take back what I said about putting them up for trade.
rckymtn22 Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Had a H Upmann Half Corona to relax after demoing my deck and starting the rebuild this weekend. Nice little cigar, might have to pickup a box.
Eltoasto Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 '09 Partagas 898 this sunny afternoon. Beautiful day with a fantastic cigar! First one and was amazed at how mellow yet flavorful it was. Finished the weekend off with a Liga Privada Robusto. Powerhouse cigar but extremely flavorful and complex. One of my new favorite NCs.
isa Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Got mail today - a box of psd4. Smoking one , excellent - leather , nuts, some chocolate , medium full, with a bite
Kosh Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 To celebrate the safe delivery of a box of Bolivar PCs in my mailbox today I am smoking a BBF from -08. All the sharpness of youth is gone and the stick delivers both smoke and flavours in generous amounts. Paired it with a Scarecrow and some *****.
Bill Hayes Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Smoked my second last PSDC3 from 08. Why they got rid of these still baffles me. Luckily I have a box of PSDC2 from 01 which are a more refined offering and nice on a sunny arvo when you've got a bit of time. Now that they're getting rid of the Trini Reyes, I've got no idea what to turn to. Maybe bite the bullet like on the weekend, make more time, and power through a Party D4.
Deodato Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Smoking a PSP PLPC from URG ABR 11. Just beautiful on what's turned out to be a great Melbourne evening. This thing is seriously life enhancing. Having a Kilkenny with it which is going down just fine.
isa Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 (edited) Lighted a CoRo tonight - has started off with a nice toasted flavour Towards the end now - says on the czar website "class personified" - couldnt agree more What a cigar! Edited May 1, 2012 by isa
Kosh Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Winding down with a Juan Lopez Seleccion no. 1. Not a favourite of mine, got 10 or so left from a corona gorda-theme box split. Let's see if they've gotten better with age. These are from -06 and I haven't tasted one in a year or so.
Lotusguy Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 My first Upmann Royal Robusto - box date SUB ABR 11. Wow - so tasty! Medium-light but all toast and breakfast cereal. Goes fantastic with coffee. A contender for best of the YTD for me! Glad I have 4 boxes with that code

A contender for best of the YTD for me! Glad I have 4 boxes with that code That sure is one sexy looking cigar Claus. Glad you stocked up on it, especially it being a bigger ring gauge then what you prefer.
Lotusguy Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 A rare one - JL Seleccion #5 RE Andorra. One of only two REs in the Perlas size. Tasty!
