Wrapping up a nice weekend with a 2011 QdO Imperiales from @hiusmax. Really loved that instant salt lick, sad it disappeared. Now a much more balanced cigar. If I had to pick, I'd choose Coronas.

Cracked open a second box today: an HQ box of Ramon Allones Gigantes of EML SEP 14, the same code reviewed by the boys on the deck.  This is the review which saw a variety of Four Pillars gin  pairings, and Ken's "human smell" call.  Still in the midst of the cigar it as I write this, and enjoying it!  Not sure if I'm up as far as 93 and 96, the scores given in the review, but I'm not far off.

Smoking a friend's cigar: Pier 28 corona gorda

It's mostly Nicaraguan tobacco, but perhaps blended more towards a CC smokers palate, medium plus but a balanced amount of spice, a little like a illusione epernay: creamy and earthy,and a little like D4: sourdough and bell pepper.  Very good and beautifully constructed
