Absurd heat (107F / 42C) yesterday, and in the mid 70s this morning.

Yesterday afternoon -- Siglo VI and IV, both from 2013, with ice water and a Bond movie.  Both from my pre-FOH stock.  Good, but not great, in part due to the conditions.  The VI was 87/88 points, and the IV was 89/90.

Then this morning (just now) -- a glorious PSP Monty 4 from 2014, with coffee, sitting out in the back yard.  Superb, 92 points.  The cigar knew just what it wanted to be and delivered classic Montecristo.

My appreciation for standard gauge cigars grows.

Itaituba in Pará (Brazil). Wifi, A/C, and cold beer so it could be much worse but I stick out like a sore thumb around here so.. I am happy that this gringo is flying out Monday.

Neighbor up the road is an Alaska Air pilot. Poor guy had a layover in Havana, stopped at a LCDH shop and got me a Cohiba Siglo II in a cardboard box. Cigar was so good that I almost smoked the box.

Gotcha. Looks alright to me! On a related note, although not likely to win any awards, there may be no more refreshing or colder beer than Brazilian beer.
