Worst looking Boli Tubos No3 I've ever had.  Photo color doesn't do it justice.  Palid, greenish-yellow hue (once the mold was wiped off...!) with a rustic "cheroot" like appearance and an enormous split on the backside below the band.   Terribly underfilled as well.  

Doesn't taste bad though....    As the (oft misquoted) saying goes, "the proof of the pudding is in the eating", and it tastes just right.

Down in the middle of nowhere (or as my local colleague phrased it "one of the ends of the world") in the Amazon basin. After two days of traveling to get here I smoked a 2012 CoRo yesterday, and after sweating my balls of today I am enjoying a RASSC from 2013.

@Philc2001 Are the diplo 2s similar in flavor to these older smaller RG diplos?  They're not my favorite vitola but if the flavors are similar I'd try some. Or even any of the diplo regionals?

Sorry Jbh, I don't have experience with RG, and frankly I've only ever had maybe 1 or 2 Diplos in my smoking pleasure - at least as far as my poor memory can recall.

SOM Dic 2016 Rafael Gonzalez 88 Asia Pacifico Regional Edition 2016. A quick review? It's very mild and refined, but in my opinion indicative of the Rafael Gonzalez marca. If you expect a powerhouse or Limited Edition 'chocolate-bomb', look elsewhere! I have posted a more detailed review in the Review Section.

This cigar has not been on my radar until someone said if it was the last cigar they ever could smoke they would choose it.  It's that good huh?
