Picked up a Tatuaje Bon Chasseur as a courtesy buy at my B&M. Didn't expect much, but I have to say I'm impressed! Rich, earthy coffee bean and dark chocolate flavors. Very powerful smoke.

I drove on the Flüelapass and Albulapass today. Totally amazing and still snow up there. :) While I was driving down, I stopped and smoked my last HdM Anejados.

Looks like you're driving your silver 997?  Beautiful car and scenery.

Thanks a lot, yes you're right. I really enjoy to drive the 997 through this scenery. :)

Holy crap, I *get* it.

My palate is definitely not refined enough to pick up the "flavours", but this was smooth and delicious. First cigar where I acknowledge noticeable changes as I smoked, and first one I smoked until my fingers almost got burnt.

Probably one of my favourites so far. Smoked it real nice and slow, aware that the smaller ring gauge than my usual robustos meant I had to ensure no overheating, it actually took well over an hour, probably 75-90 minutes, and I enjoyed every slow, methodical draw and retrohale.

As a bonus, I produced the nicest smoke rings I ever had, but I think that's just because there was zero wind emoji1.png

If these get better with age, I need to buy more.

I'll be curious to see how the No.2 I've been saving compares.

Glad to hear about your "get it" moment. Sounds like you're getting your technique down. Go for your No.2 and let us know how it fares! And welcome!

A dear work colleague of my wife recently went to Cuba and brought back this custom roll. They stored it in an open environment for a bit over a month until they gifted it to me. Since I live in an environment which is very agreeable to minimal effort for storing cigars (the average afternoon relative humidity in autumn is 58 to 60%), this didn't concern me too much. The Cuban roller told my wife's work colleague to dip the cigar in honey prior to lighting. I knew immediately what type of blend to expect.

1) Did I dip this is in honey? No!

2) Did I store this with my other cigars in my humidor? What, are you crazy...and risk a beetle infection?

3) Did this taste like a Cohiba Siglo III? You better believe it friends!

4) Do I like Cohiba Siglo III's? Seriously dumb question that!

5) What do you make of that rustic and toothy wrapper? Nothing...this puro still delivered Cohiba grass/hay, honey and cream notes of glory!

6) What is too youthful? Hell yeah, it needed 3 to 5 years judging by the intensity in the last third!

7) Would I do it again? See the answer to question 4.

I'm sensing not even a modicum of guilt from the taking of this young life!

Dip it in Honey have not heard that before

A long time ago it was customary to dip in cognac to add moisture to your cigar, but we are talking pre-humidor times. Apparently, some in Cuba dip in honey and/or rum! :surprised:
