bolivr Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Had the time to enjoy a larger smoke today. LGC Tainos. TEB Mar08. Smoking beautifully, I have had a 10 box in the humi since June 09 so they've had a nice rest. Flavours and aromas moving right from light dry earth to dark leather within seconds of each other. Remarkable. Teamed with the Santiago de Cuba rum which I have not tried before. Have to say it seems to be good value for the AUD33. Cheers, Mike
Wil Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Upmann half corona ROTT. Needs time, but these are going to be very good.
Pilgrims Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 SDN4 dodgy looking wrapper but a lovely smoke, started just on the light side of medium, built gradually as a bit of white pepper and spice came in, the construction was as good as the wrapper was poor...good stuff
mk05 Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Hdm Petit Beli and a La Escepcion last night, going in to smoke a Monte GE in a bit.
Michel1968 Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 A tripple tunneled Mag 46... Taste was good though...
headstand Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 In the last few days: A deeply satisfying Dip 4. The best Boli RC I have had to date (perhaps I have been impatient with this box?). A very nice Principe.
ramon_cojones Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Just had my 3rd plugged ra extra, I am contacting the vendor.
LLC Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Just had my 3rd plugged ra extra, I am contacting the vendor. that is too bad; I had one last night and it was great again. Good luck.
Lotusguy Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 My last Camacho Liberty 2009 in the afternoon - it was OK. In the evening while grilling some awesome Ribeyes, a Upmann Half-Corona (my fourth total) which was also OK. Not box-worthy at that price (especially while I can still find RG Panetelas from 2003 for less). Interestingly, it lasted almost 45 minutes - did not expect that from a 3.5" long stick.
brazoseagle Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 '09 Mag 46- had burn issues due to the wind and weather but was still pleasant. 1st half was a spice bomb, 2nd half was creamy, nutty and sweet Then I went to a HDM Epi # 1. It was very smooth a creamy. Loose draw, probably the saltiest cigar I've ever smoked. Produced great smoke, first time I've experienced Ken's "old lady handbag" flavors, but that description is spot on, floral, leather, satin lining, drugstore powder makeup, perfume, hard candy remnants, tissue. The final 1/3 was sweet salt water taffy. I'm about to throw down on a Steaksperience for me and the wife tonight- brazoseagle style. Planning on Smoking a Mont GE. "So shines a good dead in a weary world!"
blotto649 Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Beeeeautiful afternoon in the great white North and the first third of this HdM has been smoking very nicely, nuts and coffee abound.
