Bartolomeo Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 TOE Jul 07 Thanks I have found Choix need some time IMHO, in fact LGC and ERDM are better w age Enjoy them!
Puros Y Vino Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 Cohiba Piramide LE 2006. Mushroom, caramel, coffee. Not the best one of these I've had but it still delivered.
Rushman Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 Sancho Panza Beli + Partagas Lusi + Hoyo Palmas Extra = really good evening at the shop! --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.631655,-87.070562
Dbone Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 I'm working on cashing out this box to make room for a couple new ones. Went light this one up today and saw its wrapper was spotted. There have been a few like this within the same box. Still, a damn good smoke.
Lotusguy Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Started with a bang: RA Grandes de Espana RE. An absolutely wonderful smoke. Smooth, beautiful construction. Hazelnuts (like smoking Nutella), toasted tobacco. Medium body.I am SO happy that I still have a whole box of these (this one was a single that I picked up as well)!
Rushman Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Just finished a monte Edmundo. It was great until the last inch and turned just a bit bitter. Laid it to rest about 10 mins before I wanted to. What's next???? --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.630149,-87.069806
partifan Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Upmann 2. The cigar is only 6 months old but increadibly lush. Cream, sweetness, woods, nuts, light earth, gentle spice like nutmeg. The Upmann 2 is my favorite regular piramide by leaps and bounds since they are great fresh, with age, and unlike monte and psp they don't flake on you, kind of like the partagas short of the 2's. The only better is the SLR pacifico which is my favorite cigar.
blotto649 Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Finally a mild evening here in Toronto. Just lit up a PSD5. A little loose on the draw but oh so delicious!
mbrody Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Cracked an 08 HQ SLB of JL1. Gorgeous cigar. Subtle, yet complex and rich. 92
Bartolomeo Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 PL Montecarlo 11.....very good morning cigar 10 Upmann #2.....very typical Upmann profile and tasty for a fairly young cigar 06 HDM Du Roi....very mild but flavorful treat, chocolate/creamy fluff taste but yet light, like one of those diet desserts that fat chicks eat to justify to themselves I wonder how these were fresh.... Bart
Pilgrims Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Petit Edmundo, this was a good one if a bit tight, like esperesso in a cigar and perfect on the way back to the office after a lunch. I have had a hit and miss time with these, I want to love them but am undecided as yet...
Lotusguy Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Had two more sticks last night (trying to catch up on missed smoking days): 1999 Parti SdC #1 - WHY DID I SELL THE REST OF THAT BOX??? <facepalm> Punch Super Robusto RE Espana - very nice but no need to go out of my way to track down a box
Lotusguy Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 2008 Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios - still don't like them anymore 2010 RyJ Cazzie - kicked my a$$ but it felt oh so good
Rushman Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 It was a Hoyo night. Epi2 then palmas extra plus several cervezas --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.631873,-87.070659
mbrody Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Hoyo Epi 2 single from Rob. I assume this is from the batch he is raving about as it was one of the best, if not the best, constructed cigars I have had. Flavor was very good, best in the final third. BUT I am just not mad about Hoyo in general. It was a cracker, nonetheless. 93 (I wish I liked the flavor - would be all over a few).

Man I'm still thinking about picking a box of those up from Rob this month. I've only had a few but they just seem to creamy for me, and lack of complexity. I'm not looking fo strength, just balance in flavor complexity. Although I really can't say how good of examples mine singles were.
dB69 Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Smoking my first RG PC -07. Quite mild but very flavourful, I'm surprised!

I just don't dig the flavor to the point where I'd want to pick up multiple boxes. One box, maybe as a change of pace and something that may grow on me.
Lotusguy Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Liga Privada T52 Flying Pig. By far not as good as I remembered them . Super-spicy!
rsanz Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 RASCC OGA AG011 with my late morning coffee (so late it's actually the afternoon) while watching a replay of the Western Force vs Hurricanes game. Bloody Hell!
danistalking Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I picked up a 5 pack tin of these CAO Ninfas. It's part of their La Traviata line(which I dig).
DougB Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 03 HDM Des Dieux. Delivering the goods as always...may have a BBF after dinner. Friday's are good
Lotusguy Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 RA Super Ramon - thanks, Frank!! Very nice stick, despite the size
