Yep. im letting most of my CC chill for a while. I have a box of 2014 PunchPunch that Im about to destroy when they settle for a few weeks. The others though, are so new and while I do enjoy them I can help but think they will get better with time. These...the Johnnys are nice now while fresh and cheap, considering. So...Im blazing them up.

How did you like it? I got a bundle and have smoke about 10 of them. I have loved them all. By far my favorite vitola from him

@boilers183 it was great, honestly. I lit it right out of the mail, could have used a day or two in the dry box. Very aromatic smoke coming off, great flavors and burn. Nothing to dislike honestly and I think they will age well. I plan to buy a bundle. I am not a fan of the flying pigs/solomons but the regular styles, corona/robustos/lancero are a win.

Completely agree. I've found them surprisingly consistent for customs, but I stay away from certain blends as well. When they are good, it's hard to beat their value/price.

Tampa Sweethearts No 280.  Picked this up in Ybor in January.  The TS line is all rolled by Fuente's apprentice rollers. If you fall in love with a vitola and they aren't training a new apprentice, you're not getting them!!   It's a first for me....   I'll see how it goes.

Trinidad Vigia. First two boxes had darker wrappers and several were underfilled. This third box has a lighter wrapper and thus far has exhibited superb construction. Very enjoyable.

Really enjoying these media coronas from 2015. An herbally, savory smoke that has improved greatly over the last 6 months. Monte without the sweetness/cocoa if that makes sense. Seriously becoming a go-to for me.

@brschoppe Murakami is the master of the slow burn. So it does tend to drag, however, i enjoyed the character development he does as the book goes on, The leader, the widow, and the detective are all fantastic characters  - It's one of those books where you have to stop after a while and try to understand what the writer is trying to do, it is not always obvious, and sometimes never, half the story lies in the symbolism which only Murakami or maybe Japanese people may get (just a thought, not sure if true) - but you enjoy the experience. It's kind of hard to explain.

Another 08 Principe tonight. It had a very nice distinct cocoa powder flavor on the retrohale and the whole cigar fell in 2 perfect ashes. Very enjoyable.

This morning I smoked a Por Larrañaga Petit Corona that I had from Rob's New to Cubans Sampler that I got last year in October.   I'd actually received two of them because I also got a different sampler which had some included.

 The first one I tried may be a few weeks after I receive the sampler was pretty disappointing, so I dismissed it thinking this is just one of the marcas that maybe just does not agree with my palate.  I also remember watching the reviews on FOH where they said these need some time down. So I gave one away to one of my buddies that was at my house one night and left the other in the bottom of my humidor to rest. Since then, I've smoked my way through quite a number of Petit Coronas including the Boli, H. Upmann, Part Shorts  and decided that maybe I just don't like Habanos PCs and left it at that. 

 Well this morning I made myself a coffee and decided to give my last PLPC a shot since I was in the mood for a morning Cuban with coffee. I am dumbfounded with how tasty this Cigar has become in such little time.  I loved it so much that I forgot to drink my coffee and nearly burned the inside of my fingers as I was nubbing.  This is why I now exclusively look to Rob's expertise and insight when buying Habanos.  What sucks is that my box split buddy  here in town has already asked me to cool it on the small and skinnies as he is a 50+ RG aficionado almost exclusively and I see that these only come in 50 cabs...

I'm torn now on springing for a PSP box of these or the Punch Punch. First world problems at it's best! ??

To me the problem with a great Cuban is like a good picture opportunity. If you like it, you better go ahead and take it because it probably won't be there next time.  But once you take it and lock it away into your humidor, it's there for you to enjoy as you see fit.
