Dbone Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Smoked a pretty good upmann 2 from my 2010 box I got awhile back which was followed by a very good 09 rass. More good news on the Upmann 2's! I'm not one to be trendy, but I may just have to jump on these.

randomhero1090 Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Had my first cigar in a week last night....Monte PE (Jun 10 I believe). Best way to describe it was "smooth spice." Retrohale didn't burn, but the flavor had a pleasant spice with some wood. Very smooth, no bite. Got a touch bitter at the end when it started to heat up, but I got a good 1hr plus of nice flavor from it. Cigar after that was a Tatuaje Fausto (NC). Great flavors. Extremely rich cigar. Been sitting a couple months so some of the head kick and strength has died down.

I don't know man there is a lot of talk of the 2010s smoking great but mine took awhile to get going (3rd one from my box now and finally enjoyable) and it was the worst cigar of the group last night (relatively speaking). Maybe they started using more aged leaf after my box was made but I wouldn't say 2010s are ready but it is evolving very nicely. I almost regretted buying the box over a year ago but not anymore, construction is always fantastic on most upmanns too which I generally appreciate. RASS was beat with the ugly stick. Tonight it's a '10 psd4 and '11 jl2.

I kinda wish it had just one more dimension though - some papery tastes came through, as if something was missing!

I'm in school right now and it's saturday Worst thing is we started at 9am and supposedly we'll be here till around 7pm-ish. Brought two other minutos, but my school is in the mountains and it's windy as hell.
