Dbone Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Bad, Bad, Good, Better, and Great. Funny one of the ugly sticks smoked very well, not the first time. I actually smoked 5 D4's, 2 out of 5 were on
Rushman Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Today I smoked a CoRo and Siglo IV. The CoRo was just a tad bitter in the first third but opened up nicely after. The Siglo IV was very nice indeed. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.631793,-87.070617

Lotusguy Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Had a Parti D4 a/t last night at the beginning of the birthday bash. I honestly do not remember if and what else I smoked... it was a helluva party!
SokaKiel Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Had a Punch Super Robusto ER 2006 the other day. Very nice cold draw of Cocoa. Turned out a bit of a pain, had to light her up 7,8 times again Generally a nice smoke, another two of them in the Humidor... Better wait a bit Cheers, Leif
DougB Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Friday- Ramon Allones Allones Extra, which was really great Saturday- First out of a '11 25-ct SLB BBF. Tasted really nice. Bet these are going to be great in a few years. Now I am going to try and forget that I have them.

Pilgrims Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 H.Upmann Royal Robusto...LCDH release 2011 Lovely construction, perfect draw, a touch too wide but that's unavoidable, rich strong tea with a touch of cream, got fuller at end of 1st third, up to medium or above, tastes young but very good, tea like finish with grass too. Final third, quite punchy and more coffeed...rich tobacco. Needs a bit more time...89 now potential for 92+
headstand Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 This weekend: Boli Royal Corona: a well built and perfectly behaved smoke. I am a huge Bolivar fan, but I just don't get the RC. Something missing in the flavor profile for my taste. This one kicked in at the very end with that dense rich smoke I get from PCs and CJs, but the first 2/3 was lost on me. If (when)I do my first trade it will be the RCs that go. Again, it's a fine cigar but I think not for me. Monte # 4 from a box that has really turned around for the good after a shaky start. This one spicier than others but always maintained a core of chocolate cake. RASS from a young box. Nice flavors. Needs a bit of sleep to smooth out the tanic and harsh bits. I have high expectations for these.
ramon_cojones Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Smoked a nice 99 boli lonsdale saturday night courtesy of a friend. Just got done with an 09 898, good but not great. Debating on a cohiba lancero or ra extra next.

ramon_cojones Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 I got one with your name on it if you're ever in socal friend. Gifted an ra to my buddy after he gave me the boli. I am going to do the ra to see what the fuss is about.
Dbone Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 The late '09 Mag 46's Rob picked are outstanding and continue to refine with time. Consistently good every time. Smoking out of an HQ box with a couple PSP boxes resting.
mbrody Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 The other night a 09 RJ Cazzy. They are really coming along. Strong smoke with a solid core of flavor. Went great with some craft beers. Tonight a PSP Boli PC. Interesting smoke. Quite different in flavor from my normal dress boxes of Boli PCs.
ramon_cojones Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 man I wish I lived in SoCal...I hate Winter Been in the 70s for the past couple of weeks absolutely gorgeous weather however rain tomorrow. Had the ra earlier A little moist still after resting a week, draw was tight, tobacco tight. Didn't really enjoy it and ended up tossing it soon after the photo. Won't be buying anymore ELs I think. Lit up the lancero and while much better I feel it's in a sick phase because they were really great before and they are exactly 3 years old. Won't have one for a long while, same with my CCEs.
rckymtn22 Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Had a RA AE tonight to celibrate my 1000 post. Didn't enjoy the first half (didn't pitch it like ramon_cajones)but it did get better so I am so-so on buying another box. These were ROTT so will let them sit for a month to see if they improve.
