LLC
Over the years I've enjoyed a number of boxes of the HDM Epicure de Luxe. Had my last one earlier and as usual was great (AME JUL 13)Now a Punch DC (MAE JUL 14) off to a good but mild start. Popular Post JohnS
Cigars I've had recently.... 1) Diplomaticos No.2 TOS Dic 15 I've split a box and have gone through a few now. Yes, I agree that this is a good batch of Dip 2, however, for me, I'm resting my box a little longer as I'd prefer these milder. I've enjoyed the 'cocoa' element in my mid-15 Montecristo No.2's more lately, yet I know what these can become when that cocoa/sourdough/nutmeg comes more to the fore. 2) Cuaba Divinos TOS Abr 16 Similarly, I split a box on these and I've found them a little too young for my taste...a little too 'woody'. I've had a recent box of Cuaba Distinguidos which I went through half of very quickly on account of its wonderful transition from shortbread/cream to peanut butter/spice. Then again, the Distinguidos are two years old already, and these Divinos are 6 months only. Still I have 2 sticks left...let's leave them awhile and see how they develop. 3) H.Upmann Petit Corona ROA Ago 06 Oh how sad it is to see a wonderful seam of aged H.Upmann go. This was my last stick and 'my-oh-my' didn't I enjoy every last second of these? They just delivered a beautiful hit of Toasted tobacco/shortbread/cocoa/cream every time. I will lament their departing! 4) Cohiba Robustos Tubos PTR Ago 15 Only 1 year old yet this was quite fine. It had the quintessential Cohiba grass/honey and maybe a little vanilla. I've still got them in their tubes resting and I intend to visit other cigars and see how these come along 'down-the-track'. 5) Cohiba Exquisito ROA Mar 06 and Cohiba Corona Especiales PFY Dic 05 (Thanks Trevor!) I recently caught up with Trevor and was gifted these to smoke through. Yes, it was very pleasant October Spring afternoon that day! I think I brought along some 06 H.Upmann Petit Corona to sample, which was excellent, yet these two in comparison took the enjoyment of smoking quality aged cigars to another level. I think when you have an opportunity to enjoy aged mild, creamy Cohiba cigars you never take it for granted. Thank you kindly Trevor for a wonderful afternoon!

Popular Post BuzzArd
Wonderful, but not a bit surprised with how excited folks get about them. The wrapper looks like it was sprinkled with diamond dust when the sun hits it just right. Paired with Waterloo gin and tonic and home grown Mexican lime.

mnmlst
My first smoke since I've joined the lower humidity club. This spent a few weeks at 65% then two weeks at 62%. Still not a great smoke, but very much improved. Bought several singles of these Monte Petit 2s over a year ago and this was the first one I actually finished.
