A great smoke Vic. I still have 3 from the original release in the '90's that still are fabulous.

Wow, we need to trade a something for something stick so I can try a vintage 90 of this one! You be very fortunate to have a 90's vintage.

Some were plugged and impossible to smoke but the good ones are amazing. 1

Remember that this was 1998 and quality was not always consistent. Here is the review from The Dirty Ashes https://thedirtyashes.wordpress.com/2013/02/27/1998-trinidad-fundadores/

Popular Post torsion Posted October 17, 2016 Popular Post Posted October 17, 2016 Evening FoH crew. It's been a few months since I last had one of these from a 5er I bought from a top BOTL (you know who you are!)Not having ever tried the famed Selectos Finos I can't compare but this Don Jose is pretty good.To my palate its comparable to Partagas in the fact there's a savouriness to the blend much like I find with the D4. 6
BuzzArd Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 Got a full box of these at an event near a year ago now.... The first one I had was terrible. Wouldn't stay lit and burned a tunnel right down the center. Annoyed, I left them in the humidor for the past 11 months. About a half inch into this and it seems considerably better. This is not a Cuban classic as labeled, rather my understanding is it's the special blend of sticks given at "My Father" events when you buy a full box of cigars. The B&M that requested a special Cigar for their special event was able to talk the company into using that blend in this 7.5 x50rg stick with maybe 200 boxes produced total. Glad this thing seems to be coming around.... 2

zeedubbya Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 This was just an awesomely great time--smoked a couple nice cigars (Connie A and D4) and caught a few decent fish. Until....my travel humidor got heisted out of the truck. And it gets even better--I was at a special dinner on Saturday night and there was a CCE, CORO and a Sig. 6 in it. I hope the person who grabbed it at least appreciates what they've got! 2

I always said if someone breaks into my stuff, the cigars are safe...Was that the only thing they took? You my friend have encountered sophisticated crooks!
