Habanakane21 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 PSd4 today for Lunch...wonderful. Then I tried the No.2 cigar La Aroma de Cuba mi amor belicoso..of the year according to CA. Wow...they really can't rate cigars. This thing sucked. I recommend not trying this.
Lotusguy Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 NC Sancho Panza - not bad, especially considering the price. Then an AB Tempus Lancero which was good (my last) and debating what to light up next...
Lotusguy Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Ok, decided - HDM Epi 1 from 2006.... Just WOW
riazp Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Last went out with Strada for a couple of cigars and a couple of beers, I had a Partagas P2 and Partagas short, both exellent cigars, but the short as usual was the top performer. Great evening.
Lotusguy Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Damn you, Single Malt! I had a fourth cigar last night at the Occidental Cigar bar - a ERDM PC. I also had some Highland Park 18, Glenfarklas 17, and Yamazaki 18. The Yamazaki is out of this world!!
aavkk Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 This morning had an 05 Epi 2. It was a good smoke but I just really am not a big fan of Robustos.
bolivr Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Lit a RASS last night. Has been maybe six months since my last one and was very impressed with the intensity of flavour.
Rushman Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Saint Luis Rey - Double Corona.....you are so sweet. Im going to buy a 50 count cabinet of those this month. I am on stick 2 out of an 08 50 cabinet of SLR DC. So far good but not what I had hoped. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.631701,-87.070720
Rushman Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 On day 2.5 of a cold and no cigars since my HdM Epi 2 three nights ago. Wanting one bad but will give it at least one more day. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.631773,-87.070580
Lotusguy Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Not even going to talk about the Ghurka and Red Dot Cohiba I tried to smoke last night and pitched after less than an inch....
Schumi5 Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Had a Monte #2 from a 10 count box I recently got (JUN 11 box code). Slightly interesting construction on these as they flare out from the band quite a bit. Wrapper is simply stunning, silky smooth and plenty of oils. Cigar was quite good but clearly young with muted flavours. Shows tons of potential and now that I have a baseline comparison I will let these nap for a while. Really feel these have the potential to be some classic Monte #2s so hoping time will treat them well. Have a great weekend all.
maverickdrinker Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 '08 EL Monte sublime. These are coming along nicely. Very enjoyable. '11 Hamlet Robusto extra. Always a nice smoke.
Lotusguy Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Parti Deluxe a/t - meh. Why did I buy so many Partagas cigars?
CBL Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Just had a PL Montecarlo. Great as always, although this one had a though draw.
maverickdrinker Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 '11 behike 52. Damn I love these things......
KWG116 Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Mag 46 08 cab Much improved. Got this cab in December. Were very bland ROTT. Smoked five and thought I got a bad cab. Put them away for a few weeks and much better. A little lighter than my 07s but I think these will turnout fine. Thought my palet was off. Pitched a RASS,JL PC and Boli CJ in the last few days. This Mag46 tells me my palet is fine.
Lotusguy Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Upmann Coronas jr. a/t while working on my bike - meh. Now a Punch Punch a/t - worst one so far from this 2009 box but still decent.
j0z3r Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Not even going to talk about the Ghurka and Red Dot Cohiba I tried to smoke last night and pitched after less than an inch.... The only Dominican Cohiba I like is the XV, and even at that it's not much better than decent. IMO, the less said about Gurkha, the better.
riazp Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Montecristo Petit Edmundo from a Sep 10 HQ box, lovely rich smoke, just delicious. Pairing it with el dorado 15
mbrody Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 First day back shooting some ***** in a long while. Followed it up with a Bolic CJ on a hike with the dog - very nice and reliable boli goodness. Now on to a little ripper - Partagas SDC 3.
j0z3r Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Great pic Riaz. Have not tried the petit Edmundo myself, but I quite enjoyed the regular Edmundo. Why I haven't gotten a box is beyond me. Started off with an Upmann Mag 46, tasty little bugger though I've got to say, on the whole, this box has been quite troublesome, but such is life. Finished off a BBF from Nov 10 a bit ago, really enjoying those. I know I've got at least one more in me...choices choices. Joe
