Smoked my first San Cristobal Torreon out of my Jar today to celebrate my Birthday  ??

JL Malecon. Started out fantastic, then developed a tunnel in the middle, but self corrected in the last third.

Now a Davidoff Grand Cru #4. Really nice. Wish they were not so ridiculously expensive.

Partagas Serie D No. 2 ETP SEP 15.

Mild developing to medium body. Floral profile developing to woody, with spices. My first of this box. Delicious and delightful.  Eminently satisfying.

Enjoying an early morning Sport Largo with coffee.  I love this time of day -- it's an hour before sunrise and no one is up but me, the dog, and the cat.

Crown Heads Las Calaveras LC50. Straight forward smoke, a bit to easy of a draw. Peppery, leather and a little cocoa. Great even burn though the whole time.

Partagas Maduro No. 1 with some 2013 III Associates McLaren Vale Shiraz.



Bought this stick back in November last year.



Not bad - certainly more mellow as compared to the regular Partagas release. I find the profile to be quite similar to the Cohiba Maduro 5 with the exception that it does not have the grassy note but has an earthy note instead - probably a filler/blend thing.
