Lotusguy Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Parti Coronas jr. - Meh. Edit: Followed by a stellar Monte #4 - these almost always deliver for me.
CBL Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Another PL Montecarlos last night. Even with a slightly tough draw, these cigars still deliver consistent quality. Easily the best box I've had this year and I'm hoping to catch another box during LFTH next year
Rushman Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 After a hard days work I am sitting down to a cerveza Tecate and a cohiba sublime. These were good in 04 but are really hitting their stride now.
Lotusguy Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 HDM Des Dieux 2003 - smooth and creamy. Siglo II tubos - just outstanding. Planning on a QdO Panetelas from 2007 to close the night.
riazp Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Great night at stogies last night with a fellow BOTL. I had a Trinidad Ingenios, which was ok...has not evolved over the years like I thought it would. Then had a Upmann Half Corona which I received thursday morning. Great little stick, exellent ROTT, good 35-40 min smoke
Lotusguy Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Wed. night a La Aurora Puro Vintage Salomone 2003 and some La Flor Dominicana Lancero while at the Occidental in San Francisco with my best buddy. Both pretty enjoyable, but that might have had to do with the company and the single malts that were consumed Last night a PL Regalias de Londres - great, but not as good as the last one due to a tight draw.
Lotusguy Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 RyJ Hermosos #2 LE 2004. Another wet-noodle stick with no serious flavor. Glad I sold the rest of that box.
mazolaman Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 R Y J Caadores, which was great. Very like a BGM, strong, flavourful, and pretty much the same throughout.
Rushman Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Prepping my body for a 4-6 stick day tomorrow. Smoked three today. Cohiba Siglo IV, Montecristo #2 and Partagas Lusitania. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.631762,-87.070487
Lotusguy Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 QdO Coronas after that RyJ last night - now THAT'S what I'm talking about. These are just fantastic! Happy New Year, everybody!
Guest Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Iam smoking a cuban custom from Reinaldo right now. The cigar is called "elephant" and is a 60RGx130mm. A picture attached to compare the size Wish you guys a happy new year. *I hope its allowed to post pictures here cause I haven't seen any on the last few pages...
riazp Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 nice, reynaldo sure does love his large RG smokes.
dB69 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 ^That elephant looks like a serious jaw-breaker! Had a very delicious RASCC in the afternoon and currently smoking an Allones Extra EL-11 which is not as strong as my two previous ones, but still very tasty with a lot of cayenne pepper in it. Excellent mood for switching the year. EDIT: ...and finally a Party Short, which is the best cigar for the day. Quite embarrassing against the other stogies, I think...
Schumi5 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Enjoying my first RA Extra this New Year's Eve morning and what an absolute cracker of a cigar! With all the hype and positive reviews I was a little worried they might underwhelm but no let down whatsoever. Simply wonderful flavour profile that evolves and takes you on a wonderful journey. We are often quick to be critical of Habanos SA for their missteps, but they are spot on here! Well done! Special thanks to the great team at Czar for their efforts in allowing us to experience this wonderful smoke. All the best for 2012 to everyone!
toasterhead Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Just finished my LAST Dip 4! Delicious way to wave good bye to 2011. Happy New Year everyone! Dave
Lotusguy Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 ...and my last cigar 2011 / first cigar 2012 was.... Drumroll please: Montecristo #4 Reserva What an outstandingly smooth and refined cigar with perfect construction. A true treasure Happy 2012!
android Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 ...and my last cigar 2011 / first cigar 2012 was.... Drumroll please: Montecristo #4 Reserva What an outstandingly smooth and refined cigar with perfect construction. A true treasure Happy 2012! I pulled one of those from the humi the otherday and they have come along way...very nice smokes.
Rushman Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Well my last three cigars from 2011 were Vegas Robaina Famosos, Cohiba Siglo VI and Partagas Serie P2. My first two from 2012 were Ramon Allones Specially Selected and Buena Vista Short Churchill. Last one from a local Cancun fabrica. Loved the first four, last was (1) one too many for one night and (2) a bit too mild for my last stick. Happy New Year everybody. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.631761,-87.070598
riazp Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 well I lucked out on the weather finally, no wind -3 celcius, so I smoked a upmann Half Corona on NYE. Very nice 40 minute stick. great upmann flavors, even it its extreme youth.
maverickdrinker Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Opened the year with a cohiba Gran Reserva as well.
