Great evening in NYC with @torsion swapping smokes and putting the world to rights.  Discussing how great it is that we can meet people from the other side of the world through the forum, it really is a great community and I'm chuffed to be a part of it!

Had my first H.Upmann Connie.1 which was excellent,  then @torsion handed me this D4, and WOW.  Knocked my socks off, I love a D4 but have yet to have one like this, the standard D4 spice but it was so well rounded it shocked me....and the ash was stunning.

Current SW production still has me left underwhelmed. Looking for a decent box to add for aging, but while SWs are popping up now and then, am trying and testing to no avail. Construction is the issue. Latest one (Nov 2015) showing a shitty burn throughout the whole smoke. With the cigar sort of continually mushrooming along the burn line. Rather than a fireproof wrapper appeared more like a fire-retardant binder. Unpleasant smoke. Perhaps it's its youth (moisture had been in check), but usually a SW can be smoked fresh without technical issues. Have to keep on searching...
