riazp Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 well it was a lovely evening outside tonight, so I went on the balcony with a SCDLH El Principe and a El Dorado 15 rum. Great cigar, great rum. Gotta thank myles for this exellent 08 el principe.
Lotusguy Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 PL Panetelas - pretty good for a C&C. Later an Arturo Fuente Anejo (still working my way through my 2010 Xmas sampler). This one was the best from this sampler so far but extremely linear with no significant evolution in flavor. May light something else up while I season my new smoker for the first time tonight
Lotusguy Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Closed out the evening with a very tasty PLPC - so young (2011) yet already so good!
Puros Y Vino Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Last night. Sat atop the Park Hyatt rooftop patio for a smoke with fellow FOH's. The weather was unseasonally brilliant for November in Toronto. On the menu? Bolivar Simones followed up with a Trini Reyes. Both washed down with Innis & Gun. The Boli was sweet with some citrus and very smooth. The Trini, was as always top quality. It's like smoking a baked good.
Plato Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I haven't had a chance to smoke much the past two weeks. I have went from 1-2 cigars a day, to one a week. However, last night I was lucky enough to get off work early and catch a nice and quiet rainy evening on my porch. It had been over a week since my last smoke (Choix Supreme thanks to BoomerSooner). I decided that I would light up one of my five Hamlet custom Robusto Extras. Man these things have a wrapper that feels like silk. The prelight aroma and cold draw is out of this world. Over all a very good smoke, but I think that I am going to let these babies rest for at least a year or two before trying another one. It was a power house. I wasn't expecting that. To borrow a phrase from Rob, "The makings of a legend." I followed that up with a nice HQ H Upmann No. 2 from 2011. Last one I had was 3 or 4 weeks ago. The cigar is settling down. Flavors of sweet & syrupy cedar for first 2/3rds, but becoming more dry in the final 1/3 from what I remember. Cheers
dB69 Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Another excellent Party Princess NOV05 today. Yummy-yummy! These are really on at the moment.
Michel1968 Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Upmann Mag. 46 from the jar. Suffered a bit from tunneling, still a good smoke!
Lotusguy Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Boli Lonsdale from 2000 - pretty good, but I still prefer the BPC as my favorite Bolivar.
AntiVirus Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Had my first Choix Surpreme this arvo, first cigar in about a month was quite good
rckymtn22 Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Had a SLR Serie A, it was okay didn't knock my socks off.
tdlfoto Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Militania Perez custom corona (rolled early October at LCDH Toronto). cookie dough sweetness. love these
CBL Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Just finishing a ENE 09 Diplomaticos 4 that was pretty awesome. Beginning was pure coffee and cream with some ginger through the nose. Great draw and burn. Still needs a couple of weeks in my humidor to settle down, but it's already on the come-up!
riazp Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Militania Perez custom corona (rolled early October at LCDH Toronto). cookie dough sweetness. love these I had her robusto's when he was in montreal, great stuff! Ghabanos Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Hellow! How's the QdO Ghabanos? I couldn't wait so I had one after resting one day and a second two days after... Both were smooth and great quality tabac... Haven't thought deeply about it so no review yet but I had high expectations and it didn't disappoint... I have about 8 left so I might have one to tonight... Only complaint was the first was on the tight side but the second was near perfect on the draw
maverickdrinker Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 good to hear that you enjoyed it riaz. had a Hamlet Robusto Extra Shaggy foot tonight
Skitalets Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Brickhouse Robusto. First one that plain ol' sucked...should have gone CC after a highly frustrating day where everything went wrong. Including the cigar of course... I am really not a fan of those either. Hated my first one and gave the second away. Tonight I had an Illusione ~hl~ candela. Weird! But not bad.
Lotusguy Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Monte #1 for lunch - Meh again. Hope I can find the time to light up another stick later tonight. Edit: I did and my Mobile Stogie App picked a Parti Series D #4 for me - very enjoyable! Haven't had many Robustos lately.
maverickdrinker Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 04 cohiba lancero to start the vacation.....
Lotusguy Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 RACF - man, these are good! Don't be scared - not overly strong.
