An RE Friday with @Nate Chu C&C for a Saturday morning with this Sir Winston from 03. Today is going to be great if this cigar is anything to judge it by. What a super smooth star

First cigar of the year.

C&C ‘14 especiales. Fantastic start to the day C&C with a Monte 4 C&C time today with a Perla picked up from 24:24

After brekkie Monte 5 and a large black coffee before attacking the garden again.

MOE OCT 14 Fonseca No 1 with a Catmint Julep (Bulleit 10-yr).

Cigar is phenomenal! It needs another year or 3 to lose the rest of the youth, but a constantly shifting profile so far halfway in: nutty to woody to chocolatey with a consistent cream and light honey finish closing on dried flowers. Body is light, but flavors are med-full. I wouldn't consider this mild at all; a connecticut-shade-wrapped Dominican is mild to my palate. Notably high-quality wrapper - colorado maduro with a hint of rosado and the construction is damned-near perfect, which hasn't always been the case with this cigar. I sincerely hope they don't actually cancel this guy.

The Catmint is a neat take on the classic julep, though my mint is a little dry due to the season. Should have used another leaf or 2.

The whiskey is meh. I like Bulleit (especially their rye), but this is just too oaky and lacks a depth of flavor I like. Was not worth the bump in price - seemed to lose character with the aging, which I'm not entirely used to.

Happy weekend, all!

Same here, I already dread the day this will happen. sad.png

Espresso and a Du Prince this afternoon.

How do you like these. The first CCs I first tried were hoyo no 2's. I had initial luck with the Marca them I ran into a slew of bad ones. I recently ordered a box of Duty Prince because of recent talk about them on this site. How do you like them? How different from the epicure no 2?

Haven't tried EPI2 but I have a box on the way ?.. Du Prince is mild, short, quick and impressive.. However, I take my my time smoking it. I get good tobacco and cedar flavor out of mine.

Nice! That's all I'm looking for out of these. Hopefully I get a good box.
