NicPac Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 PSD4 this evening while catching up with a buddy. Also had a Short and a Monte 5 while driving around for work today.
Jeremy Festa Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Those in the blind tasting are in for an absolute treat with cigar No. 3. Of the five(?) possibilities, all can be amazing. And this is! I am having just the nicest time! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 3
Scrubber Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Such a frustrating stick. The flavours are amazing. Some of the best I've ever had in an Epi 2. However, the draw is tight and I'm not getting much smoke volume so the flavours I'm getting are too light. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1

Popular Post Puros Y Vino Posted April 21, 2016 Popular Post Posted April 21, 2016 1997 ERDM Lonsdale. Very smooth and refined. Hints of chocolate, nuts and cedar. 11
Lotusguy Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Ramon Allones Petit Allones RE Andorra. Picked the one with the worst wrapper damage (repaired with gum Arabic) - these have very fragile wrappers. I think I didn't give it enough time to settle after transport. Burn was uneven but the flavors were pretty good. Does the world need another Ramon Allones petit Robusto RE? Only to satisfy the collector genes. 2
Popular Post planetary Posted April 21, 2016 Popular Post Posted April 21, 2016 Continuing my "cigars and classic movies I've never seen" series, today I paired an EML JUN 15 Partagas Maduro No. 1 with Bogie and Bacall in The Big Sleep (1946). In a recent thread on unexpectedly enjoyed cigars, Lotusguy mentioned this stick, so I grabbed one of the two singles I had resting in the humidor. I was pleasantly surprised overall, and downright shocked at the pure chocolate aroma. Do they mix crushed cacao nibs in the soil, or something? 6

Perhaps the trusty 'skewer stick' next time?
wade1979 Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Siglo VI from 2014. Just a few left now and I'm already in a slow manic decline. So refined and balanced. Cohiba at its best for me. 1

I have another in humidor which looks the same so when it is time to have it I will try dry boxing it or Rob's fridge tip and keep the skewer stuck handy too.
Eric E Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 HdM Epi 2 from '05. This one is still going strong. Half way through the cab, but enjoying everyone I smoke. I nubbed this one. 2

NicPac Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 A quick Short after a BCG that just didn't smoke right. Pitched it part way through. 2

Turbo56 Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Illusione ECCJ 20th w a Westvleteren Blonde. Probably my favorite NC! 1
earthson Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 A little driftwood... I don't know if it's the power of suggestion from Rob or what, but, yes, driftwood. (The creaminess and grassiness is the real story, IMO). '13 VR Unicos. Hadn't had this vitola yet - easily the best VR vitola still in production. Very nuanced and clearly defined thirds. Manificent! Unfortunately, cannot say the same for the Bulleit 10 year I had with it. Just awful, and I typically like Bulleit offerings. OK, not awful, but I'll be sticking to the Rye from here on out.
Easttide Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 BCJ ULA MAR 14 while getting the monster deck ready for a quick overcoat of stain before the start of the Blues game. So good. 1

I agree, a very under rated or I should say under the radar belicoso. Havent had a Unico in years, the few I had just were lacking in flavor and very tight draws. I went against my rule of not drinking IPA;s with cigars and had a tropical fruit bomb with a malt undertone and paired great with this stick.
