Lotusguy Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Some Arturo Fuente Double-Chateu from the Christmas 2010 sampler. Sickly greenish-yellow wrapper. Way too light - almost tasteless. Meh. Getting ready for the big halloween blowout
Pilgrims Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Hdm epi 1 that looked great and smelt great but had way too tight a draw to be relaxing...a shame as a fav of mine...
Skitalets Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Getting ready to light up a RyJ Short Churchill
Lotusguy Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Had a Monte #3 at the Halloween party - very good. Not so good when I walked back to my car to find the rear window smashed in and my friend's purse and coat stolen
Pilgrims Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Had a Monte #3 at the Halloween party - very good. Not so good when I walked back to my car to find the rear window smashed in and my friend's purse and coat stolen Sorry to hear that, it's crap when that sort of thing happens!
Lotusguy Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Trying to decide if I should pick up another box of these so I am having a Upmann Coronas Jr. a/t. Quite the tasty little stick.
riazp Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 had a partagas short at a halloween party last night...cigar great, party sucked
mbrody Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 08 Mag 46 and boy are these a staple. I dont know if I could truly keep enough on hand... 08 monte 5 this morning, also very nice.
Lotusguy Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Monte #1 yesterday - still glad I only traded for a fiver. These are definitely not my favorite Montes. Today was a 3 cigar afternoon: Party Shorts - very strong (a bit too strong, actually), followed by RASCC which was great but burned too fast and finally a RG Pantelas from 2003 which was the best of the three.
Skitalets Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Having lunch in the park before the (relatively) nice days come to an end. LFdC petit corona.
Lotusguy Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Fonseca Cosacos from 1996 - will post a review. It was excellent!!
CigarAsh Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Last night was an excellent Cohiba Robusto from an HQ box received in September. They have all been spot on delicious. Exactly what I'd expect from a Cohiba. Pains me to see Rob's latest summary from the warehouse and how crappy the Cohibas are looking. May have to go back and grab the CoRo box from the last LFTH to hide away in the humidor.
TonyV Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Cohiba Genios. Full of flavor, very rich tasting ,some burn issues. Enjoyable smoke.
dB69 Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 This week I have smoked three Party Princesses from -05 and they are just wonderful little cigars! They cost much less than almost any other cigar, but they are absolutely not like "cheap cigars". Flavorful, complex, excellent firm draw, nice burn and so on. Nothing bad to say about them. Oh no, there is one bad thing - the discontinued issue.
LLC Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Yesterday a PSD4 and today a Boli PC from an HQ box.
Lotusguy Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Had a Trini Reyes after the Cosacos - they always deliver
maverickdrinker Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Damn autocorrect. Let,s try that again. Behike 52. There, much better
mbrody Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Great 08 Dip5 yesterday and now a BoliCG 07, solid smoke, but I have enjoyed the 08s more.
Orion21 Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 November Box Date Montecristo Grand Edmundo -- fantastic down to the nub!
dB69 Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Behind 52 tonight But actually you were behind that 52 rg cigar. I see nothing wrong with that sentence! Just smoked a Hoyo des Dieux which was totally plugged. I think it was my first plugged cigar this year. It started to draw well after cutting 4 cm away from the head. Just an annoying knot in there. Now smoking a Party Presidente. Maybe some other cigar after this... with port wine of course... ...and a Bolivar tubo #2...
Michel1968 Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Partagas D5 regular prod. Nice relaxing smoke. This example was somewhat timid on Partagas character, still a very enjoyable experience...
