That was my third. The first two were outstanding. Wasn't able to score a second box. I knew it was trouble when I picked it up - too light and soft.

A lovely aged Montecristo Especiales No. 2 from before the turn of the millennium.

Smoking really well to be savoured slowly and deliberately.

Enjoying this in the warm weather and keeping cool with some cucumber iced green tea.

That is a real treat. I smoked an early 70"s Monte on my 30th birthday and it was sublime!!! Such a great smoke. Glad you enjoyed.

Followed up with a Monte D LE. Milder than I remembered them - seems they are going over the hill. Still a good cigar but I will smoke mine rather sooner now.

A "nice" PSD4 tonight up on my 3rd floor with a nice healthy glass of Laphroaig 10. Nice retro flooring eh? . Watching an episode of Narcos. The D4 ended up being better than I thought it was going to be given it's rough state.....not from our host btw. 3rd one from the 10 box to do this

Monte 2 from a Clearance 24:24 back in November. The burn was a little wonky but flavor and construction were spot on. Like Rob says, "No Crap" in the clearance sold here. Looking forward to more of these!

Monte 2 PSP from a 10 count box featured on a 24:24 back in July. Spot on Monte flavors, perfect construction. An example like this restores faith in the Monte 2. Wrapper is as smooth as glass. 94/100

Not a bad way to start work. It's a cheapo but with 6yrs of rest its dang smooth. I remember liking them better ROTT though.

I still love the Partagas Maduro #1 - I can hardly believe it myself. Stuttgart is running out of them from the first release now.

The PL Valiosos RE Suiza was outstanding as usual and the PLPC 2002 was a honey bomb - fantastic.

The Don Jose is very BRCesque. Similar profiles, although the Don Jose exhibits other flavors as well. That's my thought anyway after smoking this. The BRC is strength to the core. Love it.
