Jason Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 What's the story on the limited production of these cigars? I had first heard that there were 600 boxes and the emblem on the outside of the box indeed gives you a number (363/600) but the rice paper inside says there were 2000 boxes made. Anybody know what the deal is there?

android Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Cuba's is at the pinnacle of quality control. You got to luv the effort though!
TrickNick Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 One of by boxes is out of 600, the other is out of 1000 and BOTH of my inserts say 2000. I have no idea WTF is going on...
mkz Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Makes me wonder how "limited" these kind of releases really are... I´ll stick to regular production, Thank you!
GTS21 Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 I have a box that is "xxxx/2000". So there are at least 3 variants.
dcse Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 So there just might be a box 363/600, a box 363/1000 and a box 363/2000 in circulation? Welcome to the land of confusion.

Habanophile Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 This really is weird... I just received two boxes last week. They are 12/600 and 13/600. How the heck is that possible since they are on the market for quite some time now. You would think that the lower numbers are gone first, wouldn't you? Now, I knew about the 2000-"series" But what's up with that "new" 1000-"series"... This is close to fraud, seriously... My boxes look gorgeous though. Nice dark reddish-brown wrappers in pristine condition. Yummy...
cvm4 Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Cuba has done some infamous screw ups but this tops them all, IMO.
maalouly Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 The boxes were made for India by Cuba, perfect combination for an absolute mess

josie67 Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Maybe these came in 2 different box counts? I know that the RA Estupendos I have from 2006 came in SLB's of 25 AND of 50's. They made 260 boxes of the 50 cabs and 1240 boxes of the 25's for a total of 1500 boxes. I have both 25's and 50's and I own box 1117/1240 and 90/260.
SethG Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 I've got a box on the way, the guy sending it reports it's number 2/600. Crazy.
Michel1968 Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Waaahhh... I tried to get a box into the Netherlands but it bounced THREE times at customs. Never been so frustrated. I love the retro-style foil and all. No doubt this box will be one the highlights in your cabinet!
El Presidente Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Just to clarify and thank you for Frédéric Dechamps for doing so. From the distributor "We had ordered 1600 boxes but they misprinted in the inside leaflet as 2000.Adding to that problem Habanos made two lots first one with the 1000 and the second one of 600 and therefore the confusion. By the time we realized this it was too late and we had the entire lot in our warehouse" HSA has made such errors before
#2 man Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 These double coronas are beautifully presented in stars-filled silver foil. Comes in 25s packing.Enjoy the pictures Fatcigar , have you ever photographed your entire collection? Would to see that
ZinZan Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Out of curiosity, the RE's whats would be the MOQ for the distributor? Is there set standards for HSA to indulge the ?

ZinZan Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Thanks Pres for the answer. I actually found a thread on the REs which i completely missed after posting that question.
