El Presidente Posted November 3, 2009 Author Posted November 3, 2009 Sounds good, but I'm still waiting for the online members magazine - launching April 2009..... Great idea well advanced but needed involvement/approval "industry stakeholders". The idea was right but perhaps 3/5 years too early.

El Presidente Posted November 4, 2009 Author Posted November 4, 2009 A true visionary...... They used other words...harsher words...but I am sure deep down that is what they meant !LOL1
smpf67 Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Skype is the newest and greatest technology, and I use it both personally and for business tele-conferencing. It's super easy to use, and the video to voice lag time is non existent. Highly recommend for all to use in the future!!
El Presidente Posted November 16, 2009 Author Posted November 16, 2009 So when is the first Skype Herf? Sounds fun! All going well we will run a test episode when we return from havana in March. Alain is helping us get the tech side bedded down (thanks mate ). We just need a good location for the set and Ken to wear underpants.

The last thing we need to see is his crack, so Smitty needs help with his camera aiming.
Danashan Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 You may want to talk to the Dog Watch's Bob. They've been doing this for 250 episodes now! BTW, congrats to Bob and Dale! They are a great asset to the community!
kilroy Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 I use skype to talk to clients, family, etc.... Its a pretty sweet service if you have high, HIGH speed internet of course. For basic text stuff I'm starting to use Google Wave. Sure its basically ICQ, but you can drag in most google supported file formats live.
aes8 Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 For what is worth a friend of mine produces a podcast out of Korea that I really enjoy. He has authored a do's and dont's guildline regarding software and such. I have pasted the link for anybody that is interested. http://www.seoulpodcast.com/how-we-do-the-podcast I love the idea and hope you move forward
chris100281 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Sounds like a great idea. However being an avid Skype user and professional IT guy I will tell you that setting up GOOD group calls on Skype is no easy task. You would at the very least want to use a third party app to control the confrence aspect of it. Keep me posted, I would love to help if this project takes off.

Elie is helping me with this (he owns one of the best digital media companies in Oz). Elie is back from india later this month and I am meeting with him in Sydney to finalize the detail. he has been doing a little work on it behind the scenes while I have been galavanting in south and central America.
