Amrut Whisky

Greetings,

A few weeks ago, I was at a spirit and wine tasting festival here in Calgary; the day was long, and much was sampled (though maybe not enough of the food as my head was ringing pretty good the next morn). Near the end of the night, I stumbled (possibly literally) upon a booth dedicated to both Stronachie and Amrut (an Indian Whisky). I sampled both the Amrut Single Malt and the Peated versions and recall being quite impressed with both, though I am certainly no connoisseur.

Does anyone else have enough experience with the stuff to offer an opinion, or do I have to trust my (potentially) questionalbe judgement that night and pick up a bottle?
