Where's Sgt. Hulka?

I thought all yesterday afternoon about why I had such a strong reaction to the thread. (This was over two cigars back-to-back which I rarely do another Bolivar CE from 03 and a Monte PE)

My objection was less about the CC/NC thing, although, yes, there was some of that. It was much more that, while the thread was called a joke, it was, to me, less than a joke. It was holding up to ridicule someone who was not around to take up his own defense or to give as good as he got.

I'm with Rob on this. Although I wouldn't go so far as to say he might be retarded, he did seem to have trouble forming a complete sentence, he couldn't concentrate, sometimes he seemed to focus off on the middle distance. Medicated? Some other issue? I dnon't know.

Sure, poke fun at Ken G. but he can dish it out as well as he takes it. But I'm not sure this guy could hold his own. Not really.

I am pointing the fat that the guy i smore then normal. I dont think a guy that isn't fully up there would be able to tape himself multiple times and answer questions. If you feel so strong about it go ahead and youtube the gentleman, I wouldn't post anything out there mate if I thought I was making fun of another human being unless they were full of it.

My point is you obviously took offense to it and that is your point of view my point of view I see someone who's full of absolute **** and pretend to know things about cigars and guns.

Now yoiu want to tell me that I am being judgemental far from it, am I pointing out the fact that he's an idiot I am.

If my post has offended you, would I appologise? No I wouldn't as I dont see what you see, I don't see someone wh's not fully up there, I believe it is an excuse being given to the bloke.

Plus I still can't quite undertsand how something so simple got blown out of propotion, it's simple meant to be shared for fun, but obviously some don't like to have fun as mentioned above.

I'm not slow, I'm just completely and utterly clueless as to what's going on. But then, I'm used to that. My wife and daughter inform me of the fact all the time.

Personally I think it's a perfectly good strategy What I don't know about won't wind me up.

I would love to write more on this topic, albeit a great distance from cigars. If I have the time and can see it though more writing and discussion might be fun. I see subtle points in this discussion; I find them really fascinating and revealing about human behavior, mine included. These include points of courtesy, dignity and certainly ones' perception as well as ones' of perception of political correctness.

Now for my friends that are left in the dark; I am sorry. So rather than write another pompous diatribe I will help you fill in the blanks.

A gentlemen brought up a challenge to Cuban cigars. Many of us took the polite road, put a helping hand forward and were very civil and polite. I, on the other hand, dropped the ant farm on the table and shook it up a bit. Knowing Piggy, as many of you do, my reply was not overtly insulting but I have concluded that it was less than polite if not down right rude and certainly arrogant. Does that not sound like me? I said as I often do that I think non-Cuban cigars taste like ****, don't smokem' if you don't like 'em... the usual.

A new thread was started, one depicting the bloke I called, "Sgt. Hulka." Sgt. Hulka (IMHO) is a moron. He had filmed (video taped) himself making moronic statements about cigars and I not only laughed my ass off, I made an important link. The link that I had made was that Sgt. Hulka agreed with those who are proponents of the non-Cuban leaf. I had now a tool, a tool to poke some fun and incite some levity over those who enjoyed the non-Cuban cigar as they shared a common belief with the soon to be immortalized Sgt. Hulka. Now you can see where this is going, can't you? I would point back to Sgt. Hulka as the leader of the non-Cuban leaf movement, get a big laugh and win the day!!! My plot was foiled and derailed by subversives. (I am kidding now!)

Someone did the right thing. Rather than raise holy hell with me and my plot; when he must have found the thread, some posts, parts in it.... I don't know exactly what; when he found something offensive, he reported it. I can't condemn the man, I do think he did the right thing and that is to report offensive behavior, even if it was mine! I don't read minds and this is of course my spin. The actual evens, not being an administrator here, I am not privy to. In any event the Sgt. Hulka (as I call it) thread was removed.

You did not miss much my friends but you now have my recollection of it. Others may see it differently. For the record I understand site administration and I don't question my friends' authority in the matter. Nor do I blame nor hold malice against those who reported the posts or involved site administration. This place survives, not on anarchy, but by rule of law.
