San Francisco Jazz Festival

Last night I went to a great concert to see Omara Portuondo at the SF Jazz Festival. You guys remember her from the Buena Vista Social Club. Well in was a wonderful night of good Cuban music. She has a new album out called Gracias, she played many new songs and also many of the classics from Buena Vista Social Club. My wife new her from when she worked for Artex in Cuba so when Omara saw us in the front row she gave us a smile and nod( saludas). After the show we hooked up with her son Adrian who is her manager and got to talk with her. She was tired , looks like the age is taking toll. She played for two hours. Ill post pics soon.
