I'm searching for something non alcoholic to go with a cigar. Last night I found that Diet Coke was NOT the answer...it was so wrong. Any suggestions.

Pu-Erh tea is a match made in heaven ! Pu Erh + cigar 1/2 in french... Pu Erh + cigar 2/2 in french...

Guinness is about 96% non-alcohol..

I like coffee for the same reason as Guinness with a cigar. Tends to clean the palate each sip so you can taste the cigar all over again.

A latte or tea work with a milder cigar.

Is this a trick question?

I stopped drinking a few years ago, amongst other things and now my favorite go-to beverage with a cigar is carbonated water + lemon or a really dark roast espresso (double or more).

As the temp slowly rises here in tropical NQ I find myself more often with a glass of water when smoking early.

Must admit to never trying a coffee with a smoke until reading this - must try it.

A dark roast with a cigar is one of my favorite drinks. If I'm trying a new smoke or I have been smoking all day and need to clean my palette, I reach for soda water, bite a lemon and put the rind in my glass. Clears it right up and really allows for one to taste everything a cigar has to offer.

Depending on the cigar:

French press coffee, tea (iced or warm), water, and my recent favourite is root beer, mmm.

Also, spicy cigar + chai tea.

rare that I smoke and not drink but if I do it is usually black tea, black coffee or water.

Would have to join the crowd and go with coffee.

although did some experimenting and research, and found that an Americano (long black with a dash of milk) goes much better than your normal espressoes, like latte's or cappacinos or flat whites, as the espressoes contain lots of milk, and the dairy proteins tend to wrap around and 'block' your taste buds, where as the more watery coffees leave them exposed and even a little fresh and perkythumbsup.gif

yurp, bit of a science nerd here

Amazed to see Dr Pepper as a choice as it is mine too. Coffee is a strong second, preferably a mocha or cappucino.
