I generally have Ceylon tea with a spoonful of honey with my after work cigar. Another favourite is Cuba Cola, a brand of coke we have in sweden. Great looking cap on them! Couldn't find a picture, unfortunately.

I'm searching for something non alcoholic to go with a cigar. Last night I found that Diet Coke was NOT the answer...it was so wrong. Any suggestions.

Pu-Erh tea is a match made in heaven ! Pu Erh + cigar 1/2 in french... Pu Erh + cigar 2/2 in french...

Our Costco has "Mexican" Coca Cola. In the old style bottles and made with sugar, not high fructose corn goo. It is much better tasting than Coke "classic". Good NA beverage with a cigar.

I am a diet coke guy from way back. I have carried over to a raspberry tea I have made for 5 years from fresh berries that I got addicted to. Somebody told me about root bear and I was surprised at how well it went with some cigars. Nice thread, Thanks

Pimm's with lemonade.....it's virtually non-alcoholic, and you get to pretend you're English. What could be better?

....I should really start putting some purpose into my posts.....

Tea or water for me, coffee doesn't do it for me with cigars, as many cigars have a coffee flavour themselves so they can get drowned out a bit.

I spent the last 2 Christmas's with British people and they love their Pimms during the silly season! must say, I did too.

tried iced tea as suggested by others above, great call on a warm night!

I've had a rough life with alcoholism and the destruction it has caused to my life. Finally things are better, I know when to stop. Occasionally just have a glass of wine with a cigar or such.

My favorite non-alcoholic drink would have to be a carbonated mineral water (San Pellegrino), it is quite an interesting combination. A few time I had been drinking this dark berry flavored energy drink, can't remember the name but it really suits the cigar surprisingly.

I typically find a surprise daily when learning and dealing with my hobby of fine cigars. :P

If it has to be non-alchohlic, then it's coffee, water or ice tea for me.

Aye colombian or costa rican coffee for me.

:o From the very beginning I couldn't see the purpose of liquor AND a fine cigar. They'd just cancel each other out! What do I want with a cigar if I'm drinkin'? What's the point of a drink if I'm going to enjoy a smoke? So, therefore, in complete agreement with you, I've always enjoyed iced herb tea, either fruit or chamomile, and sweetened with clover or wildflower honey and lemon. Of course, season to your own taste, you might like unsweetened. Anywhose, that's my rather lengthy answer to what I always have with my havanas, nicaraguans or dominicans.

No, Don't try it. I was kidding. I don't think that would be good at all.

I've found Cream Soda or Dr. Pepper pairs up nicely without overpowering the cigar.

God I wished they still sold Dr Pepper in Aus.. Havnt seen that around for probably 10 or so years now. Would be great with some Punch cigars that I get hints of cherry from.

I see it around a fair bit in little independent deli's and the like. I remember when I was about 12 they had a promotion for a free dr pepper if it was written under the cap. won 6 in a row! would get a free one and sure enough that bottles cap had another free one. wish i was so lucky at the casino... :o

You can't get Dr. Pepper, and all that's on my TV anymore is The Wiggles.

I'll gladly make a trade.... Just take 'em back...

Mate, you're just not looking hard enough! Check out www.sugarfix.com.au They might have it in the David Jones food hall too :2thumbs:

Thumbs up for the Dr. Pepper. I've found I needed to go the diet/caffeine free route for my late night non-alcoholic smoking sessions (which are pretty rare, on the non-alcoholic side of things). I remember reading that Pete Johnson (love him or hate him) says nothing goes better with a smoke than orange soda. I've yet to put that to the test.

All else fails, though, coffee and a cigar can be the sublime combination.

Or you can additionally try;

usafoods

They are based in Melbourne and sell almost everything that is American. Great store.

I love a nice latte with a stogie or espresso also. Haven't yet tried the Dr Pepper, but it does sound like a great idea, especially for a VR Unicos.

I actually like to match a cigar with a freshly brewed strong coffee and some dark chocolate of an evening... especially when cold.

However when catching up with a mate its generally a cigar with a good single malt scotch.
