BigGuns Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 what a joke. was it one of the bigger trucks with a sleeping area? In that case, couldn't it be considered his home? Is there a law in Ontario forbidding smoking in one's domicile? WTF is this world coming to?
Tampa1257 Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Was his window open? The law was something about an enclosed workplace, if the window was open, it could not be considered "enclosed".
Padrino Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Wow, hardly a surprise to be honest. I don't mean to offend or upset any Canadians but it is hands down THE most anal country I've ever been in. Lovely people, a bit too happy at times but the laws......harsh.

mkz Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 A police officer saw the 48-year-old trucker driving on a highway in southwestern Ontario with a cigarette in his mouth on Wednesday, and gave him a C$305 ($290) ticket. Good thing the police is using their resources to catch the big criminals...
jquest63 Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Will the madness ever end? Truck cab=workplace?
thechenman Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Ridiculous...Utterly ridiculous. Politicians are simply getting out of hand. Yes...they are there to represent the people, but I think in their position of power, they also have a responsiblity to help their constituents see reason. Unfortunately, they are all to focused on re-election.
