jquest63 Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Is nothing sacred? I've read counterfeit sports cars, expensive watches, really everything and anything are produced in China. Buyer beware
El Presidente Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 I touched on the fake tube market on a recent thread although it escapes me right now. The official contractor for tubes to HSA is out of Italy. The development of quality fake tubes out of China will largely effect developing markets where cigar knowledge is not the highest. Wholesalers selling fakes within these markets love premium tube stock. less scrutiny and a fraction of the price of real product. Bars and clubs will lap it up.
tugboat Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Would or could HSA want to do anything about this or is it just not worth it?
El Presidente Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 This company would operate as a sales engine for maybe half a dozen factories in a province. Let's put it this way....Rolex hasn't stopped the fake Rolex market. HSA has no chance.
