I assume I am not the only one seeing this but now when opening a topic the thread is in collapsed format and then I have to click the subsequent posts to read...

This is a major pain in the ass IMHO.

Can understand the programmatic reason, to make the page shorter and less scrollable but from a user perspective makes it harder to read.

As the page has to refresh each time one clicks on the subsequent post.

Just my gripe for the day.

Thanks

never one to ever give tech advice to anyone but i wonder if what is happening is that when you click on threads or posts with photos, it can, presumably something to do with how they were downloaded in the first place, take a bit of time to align itself. you are probably clicking on things in the meantime but that doesn't affect it. or i could be completely wrong.

Yeah thanks should have thought to look there, but didnt recall making any changes so thought it must have been a server wide change.

Click on the "options" tab and make sure it is set to "standard" display and not one of the others like linear or outline.

I noticed this the other day, and it was a major pain in the @$$. However, as of now, everything is working fine for me. I did not change any settings either, and I did check to make sure "standard" was selected, it was and it was still f-ed up as you describe. Its good now though.

OK, f(king doing it again... Could it maybe be this browser? Its IE 8.0.6... I normally use FireFox, but I cant get it at work... I think it was working right the other day when I was on here at work. IDK, its a pain though.

I think it might be the version of your browser. I have this issue to. When I am at FOH at work I see everything in its collapsed format. At home on my laptop everything is expanded.

I've suddenly had the same issue on 3 computers. I cant find an option or preference to fix this on Safari... ERRR.

Thats It!!! I'm never smoking another cuban again!

My collection is up for sale, taking offers. (or a fix for this issue...)

Last night at work, I had this experience as I usually do on that work computer, and then later that night, on the same d@mn computer, I went into the new IEs 'private browsing' feature and the FOH was working great. IDK Stargazer, its crazy.

The problem is that you are using Safari...time to go back to a PC...

Sure, and while we're at it, we might as well all go back to writing on stone tablets...... ;)

2 days later - its now not doing it at home, but is still a pain to see the site on my work computer

(not that I look at FOH while at work.... :cigar: )

I have decided not to sell my collection, but instead, smoke them all.

It's not just Safari... when I use Google Chrome I have the same problem. The options button won't even respond when I click on it. Works fine on Firefox though.

Where do I find this options tab. I am using IE 8 at home where it does what the OP mentioned in his post. At work it shows up fine

I am now having this same problem (collapsed thread). I am running Chrome. Have not made any changes to any settings.

I understand hitting the "options" tab will allow me to resent the display, but that button is not working for me. I hit it and it does nothing.... Ideas? thanks,

The options tab is exactly where you need to be.

I am not sure why ist is not opening for you. All I can suggest is restart the computer and allow cookies for this site.

Just delete your Chrome cookies and restart. Everything will reset. I've had to do it a couple of times when I've accidentally hit the 'Options' link when browsing.

I use Chrome as well.
