habanablue Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Very belated I know, but to read Rob's thoughts on this year's Habanos Festival and the cigars launched, check out a short piece I wrote for Australian Bartender...well ok, I didn't really write much, just simply edited Rob's responses and threw in an intro, but I'll claim it all the same. http://inlumino.com.au/australian_bartender.html Cheers
Kangaroo495 Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 I got a bit scared after reading that article. Rob seemed fairly negative about the culling of classic cigars in favour of more glamourous styles, and also about the price rises. I really hope Habanos will realize this also...
CigarmanTim Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Excellent blog and some dead nuts on lines by Rob. I hear the Monte Open has been tweeked since the festival and is a much better blend. I have no desire to try it however...but that Gran reserva...that one has me drooling. I have seen Rob's review and read Mr Wolter's review about the Gran Reserva....they both seemed to be in bliss over this one. Two well thought of ppl saying the same.. I'm sold. I heard a rumour the price range might be 60 Euros per stick.
ucla695 Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Great read. I agree that HSA is discontinuing too many good cigars.
