Gryphon Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 H Upmann Magnum 46 Tubos GLA JUN 08 Very balanced, Full of flavour. Hard to believe it is so young, but very good.
PartagasIV Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 06 PLPC. Finally seem to be turning around after initially when they were smoking great fresh. Nice caramel toasty flavor. 07? Bolivar Colosales RE. Not as bad as the detractors made it seem. Little lighter in body (doesn't scream BOLI like a CE) but there is still some earth and mild spice.
MIKA27 Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 Last night I had a VR Famosos and then after (Couple hours later) VR Unicos.
mkz Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 Best cigar this weekend: Punch Petit Coronas (2007). Simply stunning! Sweet fudge and creamy tobacco. Still my number one...
mbrody Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Tonight a Monte 4 from an 08 box. A jim dandy of a smoke. First third is showing a strong cappucino with some shaved chocolate and then a light speckle of green peppercorns. Perfect burn, ash and draw.
El Presidente Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Smithy and I had some Magnum 46 4:30 PM yesterday afternoon. 08's If there is a better young cigar out there......we want to know about it
Kangaroo495 Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Monday - SCDLH Principe - very worthy cigar, kinda floral, 3rd 3rd was a little disappointing Wednesday - Monte 5 - thought it would be crap, but was actually nice and strong with typical monte flavours. Lots of smoke thanks to a loose (but not too loose) roll.
El Presidente Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Cohiba Siglo II Tube 08. Sweet Medium bodied cohiba honey grass/coffee in spades. Such a shame it was so short but that fixed by having another
jeromeroselli Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 PL Robusto. It was very hot, so I made myself a mojito and lit up this cigar. Fantastic cigar. Delicious tobacco flavor, thick smoke, very consistent but not one dimensional. It's a shame I've only got 2 left.
elderboy02 Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 I had a Trinidad Reyes while playing BlackJack at the Hollywood Casino. It was fabulous and I won $25. I just finished a VR Unico. It was also good.
perfectform Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Today, it was the epitome of young vs. aged Cohibas. This morning a Siglo I (08) with coffee. Then by the pool later, a Lancero (01). Lovely vanilla and cream speckled in the Lancero. Pungent lemon in the Siglo I.
jawofboston Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Had a Partagas Lusitania last night with my dad watching Casablanca. Today was a RASS. Both superb. Why is it a double corona seems so big until you get to the itty bitty end.
perfectform Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 This morning was a typically wonderul Partagas Short with coffee. Then later by the pool, my first VR Don Alejandro, which I found to be a subtle, refreshing and super-engaging smoke. Must not overlook this guy in the future. Happy 4th of July to all Yanks!
elderboy02 Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 '05 PLPC. I would love to find some aged PLPC's Opus X Perf #5
mbrody Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Party Short while BBQing. The cab is smoking great. Finishing the evening with a Mag46...can't get enough of this cigar. Happy 4th!
perfectform Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Heading out to finish off the 4th with a 98 Trinidad Fundadores and some cold beers. RIP Steve Mcnair...
brutusthebuckeye Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Hoyo de Dieux this afternoon.... CoRo this evening...
jawofboston Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Monte 4 this AM, as every Sunday morning. HU46 this afternoon.
mkz Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 This weekend... Friday. Diplomaticos 2. Tons of rich smoke. Bread and tobacco. Some nuttiness. Packed with nicotine. Awesome!! Saturday. Bolivar Coronas Extra. Dense bolivar-taste. Yet it wasnt the best CE I´ve had lately. It was good but nothing more... Sunday. Punch Petit Coronas. Sweet, sweet tobacco!!!
jeromeroselli Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Wanted to write about my 4th of July smoke: Got drunk, tripped on my deck, knocked one of my teeth out and lit up a RASCC. Wife was not happy. Dentist was.
ironpeddler Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 An '07 Fonseca Cosocos while watering my vegetable garden & flowers this morning...my new "Yardgar". Although kind of mild, it had just enough tobacco taste for an early morning smoke with a cup of black coffee.
jeromeroselli Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Was it plugged?!? Mike, it was awesome. Made up for the accident.
android Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Wanted to write about my 4th of July smoke:Got drunk, tripped on my deck, knocked one of my teeth out and lit up a RASCC. Wife was not happy. Dentist was. Not funny....but funny
